I am looking around to buy a compass, and wanted to see how easy the manual would be to read after the PDF file was offered by the seller after you asked your question. It was a disappointment -- although must be 10X better than the one that came with it. Even when you enlarge it on your computer, the print is not even a solid line. Perhaps the manufacturer should re-do their manual to make it much easier to read. Have you found the manual easy to read? Did you print it? Maybe it appears better once it's printed.

Answer:	I took this compass on a 70ft scuba dive in salt water. This compass was still pretty accurate at that depth. I notice the ball had come slightly dislodged but its all still intact. Just gotta make sure to rinse in fresh water

1. Durability

Answer:	It says China I do believe. My son used it last month for the Klondike Derby. I was pretty cold out. It's very well built.

Answer:	The only way to fix it is to return it. Get your money back and buy a different brand. I went thru two of th m before giving up on them and buying a different compass altogether.

Answer:	I pretty much read the entire instruction book and saw nothing in it that stated it was liquid filled. On the other side, I am impressed by the ease of use and accuracy of the unit. I needed to know exactly where the sun was going to rise. I have an app that gives me that info. I set the compass for that setting and it was spot on to that exact degree.
