Question:	can it fit two boards? one shortboard, one funboard. roughly 5'' total volume
Answer:	No, one set of mounts can not fit two boards. You need one set of mounts for each board. If you try to fit two boards on one set of mounts the boards will not fit nor will they have the lean angle to lean against the wall and stay on the mounts. If you try to fit two boards on one set of mounts one or both boards will fall off because they will not have the slight lean angle towards the wall to keep them on the mounts.
Question:	Can it hold a 12ft longboard
Answer:	I haven't tried, I use it for shorter wakesurfers, but they are sturdy and well made so I can't see any reason why not. Only limitation would be how thick the board is and, unless I'm mistaken, I can't imagine a longboard would be too thick for it.
Question:	How much wieght will it hold? I have a old redwood board that wieghs about 100 lbs

How far apart should they be mounted

Thank you for your interest in our popular Timber Surfboard Wall Rack! We recommend measuring your surfboards and then mounting the racks on your wall so that appx. 50% of your board's length is supported between the 2 sides. This will depend on your wall stud spacing as well but you want to ensure each board overhangs each side with the bulk of the length supported in the center for maximum stability. Question:	Will a kayak fit on this rack
Answer:	They have a rack specific for SUPs that I would purchase if you aren’t putting any surfboards on it. I use the bottom two spots for my two 10’ 4” SUPS and the rest for surf boards. The weight of the SUPs on the top of this surfboard specific rack make it unstable. Their SUP rack has a wider base for better support. This is just my experience. This rack is perfect for what I use it for. I have purchased two of their racks and love them.

Question:	Are these racks meant for interior wall mounting only, as opposed to an outside exterior wall underneath eaves
Answer:	Aloha; Ideally the are meant for indoors ...but if you can mount them outside away from the elements i.e. rain, direct sunlight and wind ...then you could mount them outside. FYI ...they are coated with a water based polyurethane that is not meant for outdoor exposure ...depending on the severity of the conditions the clear coat might eventually need to be refinished. Question:	Is there any way to stabilize the board on the mount to make it somewhat earthquake-proof
Answer:	The pins are high and the arance of the board is at an angle that in my view make it very difficult it can fall. To can make a little hole in the rack and add a string holding the board to the rack.

Answer:	I have not tried this but I own one of these racks and would not trust my 8’ 6” board on it unless the rack was screwed into studs.
