| Answer: | I'm 5'11" and I have to have it all the way out to the last notch for it to be perfect for me. II think someone 5'1" could use it at its shortest and be fine. I think 5'11" is the shortest length of the paddle from tip to top of handle and 7'2" the length when fully extended. Keep in mind you're going to have some of that in the water and then you want to be able to put your hand on the top of the paddle. Grab a long stick or pole and stand on a chair and with about 1' below the surface of the chair, mark where you're comfortable putting your hand that would go on the top of the pole. That should give you at least a close idea of the length paddle you can use. |

| Answer: | First of this kayak is great. Having said that now to your question: back rest is crap, do not even bother trying to make it work just buy an aftermarket one of your choice. Other than that this is a great solid kayak, I'm very happy with it slides through any rapids that I point it at with ease and is very stable. Highly recommend just get a new seat for it. |

| Answer: | Variable, depending on whether you inflate the floor bladder. Maybe 2 to 2.5 inches? My kids ran class 3 Rapids with it all summer. It is very fast and maneuverable for an inflatable. Very stable, nearly impossible for a small person to flip it while paddling. I like it better than my ducky from NRS which is bigger. I have run the big one through class 5-6 stuff on the upper Gauley in WV. Haven't tried the Solstice on big water yet. |
