Answer:	GunVault supplies four screws to screw the MiniVault to the floor. They also provide you with a template showing where to drill the four holes that you need to drill for the screws. Unfortunately the template shows the rear slots for the screws without indicating that the screw holes should be drilled at the back ends of the slots. The rear screws can be tightened most of the way before placing the MiniVault over them, placing the elongated ends of the slots over the screws, and sliding the MiniVault forward. The other thing that GunVault does not explain is that after removing the tray from the MiniVault, the only way to easily tighten the rear screws and install the front screws is with a 1/4" drive ratchet wrench with a #2 phillips bit with a 1/4" drive socket. Alternatively, with the 1/4" socket wrench, you can use a 1/4" hex socket with a #2 bit from a drill-driver inserted into it.

Question:	Will a pistol with a light/lazer on it fit
Answer:	YES. I have a Walther P99 40S&W with a Viridian X5L light and laser. The pistol did fit without modifying the safe foam but it was too tight for my liking. So I used my wife's super sharp carving knife (when she wasn't looking) and cut about an inch deeper into the foam, removing 1"x1"x the depth of the foam. It now fits well and pistol comes out much smoother.
Question:	Is there room for a pistol an extra magazines
Answer:	Not 100% sure. I think there might be a foam slot for spare magazine. I returned it. You have to swipe your finger across the reader and it wouldn't read my print consistently. I have several GVB 1000s and 2000s... plenty of room for multiple spare magazines in each and instead of swiping finger you just place your finger on reader. They've worked great so far.
Question:	how is the biometric feature. does it take long to open. i know the finger print scanner on my phone sometimes takes multiple attempts. thank u
Answer:	It didn't work for my boyfriend or me. One reviewer was told by the company that 5% of the population are not compatible. How can 2 people in the same house fit that 5%. I don't think so. I believe its a problem with the system and that is their excuse to get around so they don't have to be accountable. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Go with the push button one. We paid extra for a feature that doesn't work. Other wise it's great. I read a lot of the reviews and saw only a few complaints like this but there wasn't a lot compare to positive. If you get this, test it ASAP and if it doesn't work return it ASAP. Or just go with the push button.

Answer:	Mine only had a battery and I found that it drained in about a week -- I only use the key now instead of the combination. It was a real disappointment. The batteries are a few AA's(I don't remember how many). It probably wouldn't be hard to wire up a power supply to eliminate the battery draw.

Answer:	The MV500 standard does not have a fingerprint reader. You'll want the biometric version for that. I think it lets you program a few different fingerprints.

Answer:	It small like a cash box but lacks the space for my dad's dirty Harry gun. He says it would be easy to hide it most anywhere. As for the glock or 226 it would fit perfectly and the padding would protect for bouncing around in your vehicle.
Question:	Does the safe come with a cable
Answer:	Yes it does. It's a thin steel cable that you can loop around something (like a night stand) and then the pree end has a metal piece on it that goes into the safe. The cable is just to keep people from running away with it. You could cut it with big wire cutters.

Question:	If I mount this on a wall in a corner, can I secure both the back and side to the wall
Answer:	No, it's design to mount on the back, right or left side, but not both. There is only one mounting plate available which is placed along the wall where you want it secured. The gun vault will fit in the brackets of the mounting plate and there are screws which you twist on from inside the vault. What I did was instead of mounting it into the drywall, I got a flat, 1 inch thick board and screwed it into the 2x4 stud behind the drywall, then screwed the mounting plate onto the wooden board to secure it better. Answer:	There is a LED that glows green when the finger reader button is pushed. But there is no light. It's all pretty tactile, your finger goes directly on the reader, and stops against the start button. Then swipe down fairly slowly, and BINGO! the safe opens. With a little practice it can be accomplished in the dark

Answer:	the 6 inch will fit, the 10 inch might be a tight squeeze and you may have to put it side ways. I have a gun with a 7 inch barrel and it fits perfect straight with about 1/2 inch to spare. There are knock-outs in the steel on each side of the Gunvault that must be punched open to allow the cable's threated attacnment bolt to be routed through the steel side of the Gunvault.The punching-out of the knock requires some skill using a steel center-punch and heavy hammer, and I believe I still had to use an electric drill and drill bit to create the proper clearance to allow the cable assembly's threaded bolt to be inserted.

Answer:	the deluxe version comes with an A/C adapter and a small orange LED light. With the AC adapter the battery on the inside is strictly for back up use only. If you don't have an outlet nearby your intended location you may be better off getting the regular version.

Answer:	It's about 40 inches, but its very thin. I added a thicker gauge cable that I had from an old truck/gun safe. This is a Very well built safe, It can hold 2 guns, plus 3-4 extra ammo mags.

Answer:	If it did not come with one, I’m not sure if you can, there has to be little brackets on each side of the top that the strap hooks into, if you have those you may be able to go to the manufacture and get it

Question:	Is the safe fireproof
Answer:	If they say it is, they're lying. In fact, the seal around that gas spring on the left hand side will more than likely fail and spray oil all over whatever is in the container in a fire. Most of them only hold up to a few hundred degrees at best and a house fire is 800-1200F.

Answer:	The key does not need to remain in it to have it locked. There is no way to close it without it locking. When the door closes with or without the key it will lock. You can inadvertently lock the key inside.

Answer:	I just purchased 2 of these handgun safes and received them Jan 20, 2020. Both of these safes were the new improved version and had the security issue fixed. You no longer can access the program button with the gun safe door closed. Tghis is no longer an issue, at least on the 2 gun safes I just received.
