User questions & answers

Question: All pictures I have seen of this rack show the arms straight across from each other. Can they be offset to handle a woman's hybrid
Answer: Yes they are completely adjustable height-wise. I posted a picture of mine with my road bike on the bottom and the arms have to be at different levels
Question: I lost one of the adjustable bike supports, where can I buy another one
Answer: Hmm, I don’t think you’ll be able to buy one. Maybe try contacting Thule, who make the exact same rack, and see if they can help. Otherwise check around eBay for parts or maybe a pre-owned one you can use for parts.
Question: What is the dimension of the unit? More concerned about depth (from the wall to the front off the legs
Answer: Good day, the rack itself if right up against the wall sticks out about 24" however if you have wide handlebars, you may need to move the unit away from the wall so the bikes can be sat on the unit. Thanks!
Question: Does the stand have adjustable feet like the Thule model to level it on uneven floors
Answer: Yes it does. There are four adjustable feet to account for any floor unevenness.

User questions & answers

Question: I have a Jeep Wrangler with a spare tire on the back. Is there enough space to still use the inside slot and clear the spare tire
Answer: I have a 2017 Ford Edge. There is 9.5” clearance between the tongue of the trailer hitch and the inside most rail. If your tire fits within that space it should work.
Question: How long of a wheelbase can this rack accommodate
Answer: 30" wheel base.
Question: Does this bicycle rack come with the part that you weld to go under the car
Answer: Hi! This bike rack does not require welding of any kind. It uses a piece that goes into a 1.25" or 2" hitch and attaches with included hardware, so that it can be installed and removed when necessary. Thank you for your question. Thule Customer Support
Question: Will this rack work for a step through

User questions & answers

Question: Will this mount hold a full suspension bike
Answer: Not sure what a full suspension bike is but it sounds heavy. My bike is a norco quest and i have no problem. Just google the specs for my bike
Question: Will a 61cm frame road bike fit in this rack
Answer: I'm pretty sure it would. I used it with a 56cm and a 57cm (the latter more appropriately measuring about 60cm), and it was able to handle them OK. It's a little hairy with anything that doesn't have a frame made of tubes (such as some carbon frames), but in terms of size it's pretty accommodating of bike size.
Question: How big of a Tire can it fit
Answer: This rack will not hold a fat bike tire, or even a plus tire. After seeing the previous answer, I decided to purchase the rack. My tires are 27.5x3.0 and hang over the edges of the rail 1/4 on both sides. I would not purchase this rack if you run anything over 2.6 width tires.
Question: Will this fit on a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek with oem crossbars? I believe the oem crossbars are 3.25 inches
Answer: Yes, it comes with universal mounting hardware to work with factory crossbars from Subaru. Thanks and have a nice day!

Answer: Thanks for checking with SportRack. You would need to remove the ball unit, and then the unit will slide in.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this rack bolt into cement
Answer: Hi Eric, this rack bolts together, but does not include anything, nor was it designed to bolt into cement. This is a free standing storage unit.
Question: How heavy is it? We want to put it away for the winter
Answer: as long as you grease the bolts before you put it together, it should be easy to take apart and store for the winter... as to how "heavy" is it, I would think that if you are active enough for using the bike rack you can handle the weight of the rack (I think the weight is just right for what its' use is intended)
Question: Do adult bikes line up neatly? Does it save space
Answer: I have 6 bikes...5 kids & 1 adult & they all line up nicely!
Question: How wide is the stand? I would like to position it between the 4 ft. wheel wells in my pickup truck but it looks like it might be too wide
Answer: The stand is about 36" wide...should work fine.

User questions & answers

Question: How much does the rack weigh
Answer: Thanks for checking with SportRack. Both Bars weigh 7.5 LBS combined.
Question: Will a J hook mount fit on these bars
Answer: Yes, a J Hook Kayak carrier will work on this.
Question: What part do I need to attach the bikes to this
Answer: Just a bike rack that can mount to a square crossbar like you might find on a car. Make sure it's designed to attach to a square one though, a lot of bike racks are designed for aerodynamic crossbars on cars.
Question: What are the square dimensions of the cross bar tubes
Answer: My camper is parked elsewhere... however I have a place I buy trailer parts from that also sells this exact same rack and they are pretty specific about this kind of stuff compared to amazon because they specialize in it. (same product same price though)Crossbar dimensions: 80", 83" or 86" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1-1/4" tallso 1 1/4 inches... which seems about right to my memory as well.. not all attachments will fit... which I am assuming is why you are asking.Make sure you are clear with the installer if you have it professionally installed where you want it placed in relationship to your air conditioner if you have one on the roof... mine is a bit far apart which means any kayaks I haul on the camper have to be 12" or longer.. I can't haul my smaller boats.Side note : Never raise a pop-up camper roof with objects still on the rack.. the hoist system will probably snap and make you a sad panda.
