It was fine.

Question:	Can you deflate
Answer:	Of course! Among the accessories is a ball inflation needle. Use that to push the core stopper inward in a Schrader valve. It works almost as well as your fingernail, not nearly as well as most ball-point pens, and far less well than the deflation button on inflation gauges, but if you want to use this pump for a task you can easily accomplish with your bare hands, there's your answer. The threaded core plunger of a Presta valve is proud rather than recessed. It's released by pressing down as well. You can use any surface of the pump, which works almost as well as your finger. For any other valve inflatable with this pump, insert the appropriate ancillary nozzle bare. You can operate the pump at the same time as the air is escaping, or rub it and make wishes, if that makes it feel more like the pump is doing the something.
Question:	Is the pressure gauge supposed to read zero when connected to the tire and only go up when you press down to pump air in? Is my unit defective
Answer:	Yes. Zero before you pump. You’ll hear if air is escaping from the valve- and obviously the tire. I use a tire pressure gauge - the have them for presta valve conversion

FLEXIBLE HOSE WITH INTEGRATED PRESSURE GAUGE

Our innovative flexible hose with in-line pressure gauge is cleverly stored inside the handle and barrel of the pump to maximize compactness. The flexible hose design takes the stress off the valve stem and attaches securely to ensure no air can escape during inflation.

The pressure gauge readout starts at 20 psi (full line), then 30 psi (half-line), then 40 psi (full line) and so on up to 100 psi. As such the gauge is not suitable for low pressure tires e.g. fat tires.

The hose valve head should be screwed down ‘deeply’ onto the tire valve, this, in turn, creates a full seal allowing all the air to be pushed through when pumping and the gauge will rise accurately and smoothly.

PRESTA & SCHRADER COMPATIBLE

Designed to work with threaded Presta & Schrader tire valve types. Each end of the pump hose features specific valve heads for Presta & Schrader for a great tire valve connection with no leaks when pumping. No adapters needed!

For Presta valves with removable cores, extra care should be taken to tightly screw the core into the valve stem so it’s nice and 'snug' - you can either use pliers or a valve core tool to tighten the core. This process is the same when using this type of valve with any type of bike pump or CO2 inflator. Presta valves with 'removable cores' are primarily designed if you use valve extenders or use a tire sealant such as 'slime’. Bike pump is not compatible with valve extenders.

Answer:	These are road tires. They are designed for fairly smooth tarmac. I would not Ride terrain, such as woodland trails or even gravel roads with these tires. They have tires with tread for this type of riding.
Question:	What is the barrel made of? And how well is it with presta valves
Answer:	Be cautious about confusing rim width with tire width. A 28c 700 rim is very wide. Rim width is measured between the flanges. For a 28 mm tire, Continental's recommendations for a well base rim are between 16 and 20 mm, and for a hook edge rim, designated with the letter "C" (for "Crotchet") between 15c and 19c. Relevant standards are ETRTO and din 7800, or Google Sheldon Brown tire sizes, which has a tire/rim size chart. Or... You could choose to believe the anecdotal story of some random guy who claims that all road bike tires and rims are totally interchangeable over the manufacturers guidelines and government safety standards. Your call.
Question:	I need a pump for 60psi that is easy to compress to avoid hurting my back. Do I need a fat barrel or thin one
Answer:	We run an older set of Bontrager wheels on one bike and Mavic Kysrium SLs on another and have had no trouble getting the Grand Sport on and off.Easy business.That said, all wheels are a bit different, so your experience may vary.
Question:	Is it made in China
Answer:	A couple differences: First, the Ultra Sport has a 'wire' bead, which means the tire has a built-in piece of somewhat sturdy wire for its circumference. This also means the tire will not 'fold,' as the Grand Sport Race will. (Not that one folds them much once they're on the bike.) This wire bead also makes the Ultra Sport heavier. In this case, Continental marks this difference at about 70 grams (2.5 ounces) heavier per tire. For tires this is not a trivial amount to most, as the added 'weight on the ground' may make the bike feel sluggish, etc. The Grand Sport also costs more, obviously. Most every Kevlar-beaded tire costs more than its wire counterpart. All apologies for any redundancies with others' responses, too.Good luck.

Question:	Purchased item unable to fill a schrader valve tubes am I missing something
Answer:	This will fill a Schrader but you have to be sure to press it over the valve stem until it won't go any further. When bottomed out like this, it will press open the core inside and allow air into the tube. You just have to be really firm in pressing it onto the valve stem.
Question:	I cannot get this to fit my presta tube. What do you have to do to make it fit
Answer:	I assume you've unscrewed the valve, then pushed the pump firmly down on the valve and then lifted the lever. It should fit - it's designed to fit either schraeder or presta without any additional adjustment.
Question:	How does this work
Answer:	It works well -- you press the head of the pump down as far as you can on the valve then pull up the lever on the pump head and start pumping. No need to change the pump head for the kind of valve -- it works on schraeder and presta valves.
Question:	Does it stick out and get in the way while on a bike
Answer:	Not at all. It’s super compact. Where you attach it your legs wouldn’t reach. It even comes with a Velcro strap to secure it on even more to ensure there’s no shake. My bike didn’t have the standard holes where these pumps are intended to go so I just used the Velcro strap alone to attach it on the bike frame below the seat. Although it’s super small, it easily telescopes & handle folds out for use and isn’t at all hard to pump. I was really impressed with this little guy!
