Answer:	A triple A battery will fit, but the light requires a 3.7 Volt battery,and the AAA batteries are only 1.2 Volts.

Answer:	No it will not use standard AAA batteries. The battery charges inside the flashlight under the lens end of the light, just gently pull the lens barrel and see the charging port under a micro USB.

They are bright, the batteries last forever not to mention, I have dropped my lights in every kind of muck you could think of in a shop and they still work. Answer:	I'm assuming you mean intrinsically safe in the official NFPA-type definition, vs the other people who assumed you just meant safe in general. The official answer would have to come from the company, but given that the electronics are solid state (no arcing/sparking) and the waterproof sealing, I wouldn't be uncomfortable using this in a Class 1 Div 2 environment. I'm not sure I would use in C1D1 without direct information from the manufacturer.

Answer:	My old and new model are both dimable, but I think it's the firestarter in the lid. It would be good if the instruction showed how to use it though.

Answer:	There is no standard but there should be. Lumens are a confusing thing to advertise for several reason. Especially because this is a 360 degree light and not a focused beam. Plus, lumens increase exponentially as you get closer. Some manufacturers advertise 1500lux but they dont tell you thats from 1 inch away. At 6 inches, that same light would be 50lux. Even a car highbeam is 60lux if you back up far enough. There's no standard way to measure it so all claims are kind of a racket. Our responsibility as consumers is to buy these things PRIME and return them after trying them. The market will eventually get sick of covering that expense and a standard lux measurement will be instated (for example: 2 light sensors, 1 foot apart from each other, 4 feet from the light. That would be useful info). SHORT VERSION: Lumens mean nothing in this context.

Answer:	I have a COB flashlight that takes 3 AA batteries & - it runs all of about 10 minutes on them & then dims to the point of useless - even on good 2800MaH capacity batteries. Why manufacturers make COB lights like these to burn through AAA batteries at warp speed... instead of using 18650 LiON Rechargeables that run for hours & hours...! I will never understand. I am now to the point where if a high powered light doesn't take 18650 LiON rechargeables - I don't even want to think about buying the hassle.

Answer:	Yes, great for children of an age to be responsible users. That said, these are bright & beautiful colors and work well too. I first bought a set of others that LOOKED like nice colors in the pictures but were dull and ugly when they arrived. Although I kept them they haven't held up as well as these...even tho both sets are from China.
