Answer:	The battery operated sharpeners don't work as well as the electric. I think they are just not as powerful. You probably will not get the sharp point you want with this sharpener.

I would suspect that you might need to be sure that the tray that collects the shavings is in the proper position whatever that position may be. You may have to empty the tray a little more often but it should work just fine. You will need to make sure that it has a stable back to press against when you press the pencil in the hole to activate the sharpener motor, otherwise you will have to hold it while pressing the pencil into the sharpener. Answer:	Mine's nib is labelled "A". It's line is Fine, I would say. I also have a different model Pelikan with a nib labelled "M". The Pelikano Junior's line is definitely finer.According to http://www.nibs.com/TippingSizespage.htm, the Pelikano fine is 0.4mm and the medium is 0.7mm.

Answer:	One can purchase a converter to use with the pen; a standard international converter will fit. If you don't want to buy a converter, you can always use a syringe to draw the ink from your bottle and then refill the cartridge but it can be a bit of a mess.

Answer:	I can't recall. It does come with at least one cartridge in Pelikan Royal Blue which is a very good ink. It's a damned good little pen. I keep one in my pocket all the time for daily use. I give them away as gifts. I have pens worth thousands, but my Pelikano Jr. is my old reliable.
