Answer:	Yes. I use the Audio Technica for flying because it eliminates the droning of the engine and reduces the level of passenger conversation by a little bit (I'd guess around 25%). When I'm flying, I don't want to completely eliminate all sound - I want to be able to hear announcements, beverage service, etc...However, at work, my cube is in the middle of a noisy call center. To block most of the noise, I purchased the 3M Peltor X-Series Over-the-Head Earmuffs from Amazon. They are inexpensive (under $30) and they work. The headphones are bulky - they are similar to what you'd see someone wearing on a gun range or directing planes on an airport tarmac. But it's the bulk that enables them to work so well - the headphones provide a thick layer of noise-dampening material over your ears. The headphones all but eliminate normal-volume levels in the work place (you may hear a faint murmuring). Loud noises like laughing and sneezing can be heard, but the sound is very muffled. If you placed inexpensive foam earplugs in your ears and then wore these headphones over your ears, you'd probably be in complete silence.

On a different note, I have been experiencing headaches while using these headphones with the noise cancellation mode turned on. I read up on it and it sounds like certain people have this happen while others are unaffected. I would recommend going to a store and trying on the headphones for a little while to test them before dropping the money on them.

Answer:	I forgot how long the battery last on a single charge. I only have it for about 3 days and I returned it because the sound quality is just okay and the volume is on the low side. Ambiance, ANC and call quality are quite good tho.

Answer:	Not really. The left earbud will continue to function if the right earbud is quite close (like if you set the right earbud on a table you are sitting at). However, the right earbud is the one that turns on, pairs to a device, and pings the left earbud to turn on. So if you were to lose the right earbud or not take it out of the case then I doubt you could get the left bud to function at all.

Answer:	Its a mixed bag for me and depends on the device: For phones (Android and Apple) the delay (all headphones/earbuds have a "measurable" delay) is imperceptible except when switching audio between tasks (like when starting a Youtube video when you were listening to music). There is usually a small delay that the new audio source will have but it goes away if you hit pause and then play again. Have not tried with tablets but as long as they are running Android or iOS and can download the official app then you should be good. That mentioning of the official app is a very important one as Audiotechnica does not have an updated/current piece of software for Windows/Mac/Chromebook/Lunix. This severely hampers their functionality. While you can still pair them to these non-mobile devices, the connection is not fluid and results in a quite noticeable delay. This audio delay also comes with losing various functions like the microphone, noise reduction, volume controls, playback controls etc (depending on which operating system and even which version of that operating system you have). I will say that I am not a professional reviewer and have not put in the many hours that could result in working around these issues. However, I do feel that I have gone beyond what is reasonable to expect of the average consumer. That being said, I do love them a lot and they are my new preferred devices for anything I am doing with my phone (the microphone is actually excellent and I have gotten several complements about it on conference calls). However, that recommendation comes with a caveat that these CANNOT be your only high quality audio headphones/earbuds as their functionality without the official app is severely hampered and I have not seen anything come out about creating a Windows/Mac version of the app.

Answer:	I'm going to say yes even though I've never listened to the M50s. The MSR7s are the best-sounding cans I've ever heard and I've heard quite a few in the past 40 years. The level of detail brings out subtleties in my music library that I've never heard. That being said, the only caveat with these cans is that bad recordings sound awful. Good recordings, however, sound so sweetly beautiful that the angels weep. You could spend a heck of a lot more and not be as pleased as you could be with these honeys.

Answer:	My friend bought Ath-m50x and I have got Msr7-Nc. We did compare them with several type of musics (rock, jazz, blues, pop music etc.) and concluded both has unique sound capabilities. Msr7 technically has more clarity and lower bass notes. Visually looks more neutral and compact while Ath-m50x has more noticable up-tones and also is visually more noticable. Aux cables are different as well for both models. M50x has got bulkier, more solid and spring like aux cable while Msr7 has more fit matte cable, which would make it more concenient to listen outside (bus etc.) specially if you purchase the Nc version (noise cancelling). For me both models are different and I would find use for Ath-m50x if I had one but my friend (Bogdan) sold his Ath-m50x after comparing it with my Msr-7 since he wanted to listen to music while traveling via plane or train. Conclusion is if you are willing to use your device in your home-studio then I would recommend Ath-m50x, if you do travel then purchase Msr7 (not necessarily Nc) but its a plus feature. Yes, these are more comfortable against a pillow than the Bose QuietComfort 20, but the noise-canceling is almost non-existent in comparison.I don't care about the sound quality at all, which is nice enough. But plain and simply - put them on, turn on the too-stiff switch and toggle it on and off while listening to ambient noise. You can hear the faintest of white noise, and virtually nothing blocked out.Put on the Bose QuietComfort 20's and do the same and it is like you are transported into a soft white noise room with the world almost totally blocked out. Meaning, snoring. For sleeping, I used to have to use earplugs, plus SOUND+SLEEP Nomad (Travel Version) noise generator and still had to put on 3M Peltor H6A\V Optime 95 Noise Reduction Earmuff. Now, only the QC20's. :)Problem with the QC20's is that they are not easy to sleep with head sideways on pillow. Then again, neither were the 3M Peltors, lol. With the QC20's, my ears often are sore in the morning.The Audio-Technica's? Felt pretty nice against the pillow - gave them exactly 2 minutes against snoring as I tried to make them fit even better, and tossed them aside. Grabbed the QC20's and was asleep in a jiffy.For those of you that have tried earmuff or QC20 options against a pillow, I have often ended up just moving the earmuff that would be against the pillow off my ear and towards the back of my head, leaving the exposed ear covered still. Likewise with the QC20, just pulled out of ear for the one against the pillow. When snoring is loudest, it won't work and I have to isolate both ears, sleeping on my back.

Answer:	I bought these to use when motorcycling. I ride 33 miles to work, of which 10-12 are at 75 mph or faster. I have a Shoei RF1200 helmet (which is well rated for noise along with Arai) and ride a fully-faired GSX650F. Despite a good helmet and effective bike fairings, wind noise is still dominant and loud. It may not hurt, but data says that recurring noise exposure (like repeated head injury in football) damages the ears over time. So, for the headphone part: these earbuds fit comfortably and definitely bring the road noise down. They tune out much of my bike noise (which is already quite) and significantly make the sound levels easier. I still hear horns, other cars and all of the important information. The higher wind tones aren't captured, but the bulk of it is. Again, these won't silence the noise, but they will significantly bring down levels (I would estimate 8-12 dB... but I haven't calibrated my ears lately) and make the riding experience safer and more comfortable. Nothing compares to a well inserted expanding foam ear plug, however, the AudioTechnica's go about half the way. Now, I can listen to podcasts without maxing out my volume even when riding above 85 mph. With music, I only need the volume at 70-80% to hear everything. And, if I tuck the microphone near my cheek/mouth I can even answer calls (I don't recommend taking calls while riding for safety!). These were a good buy. The battery lasts 1.5-2 months (33-miles to and from work every day). More than a year on, they still work. If something happens, I'll probably buy another pair of the same.

Answer:	Not entirely, it did give the screams a muted tone but it doesn't block them 100%. I guess that's good in case of an emergency and someone is shouting at you etc. It woks best with ambient noise like engines, a/c units etc.
