To determine the correct shaft length, measure the distance from the mounting spot down to the waterline and add 15". Question:	Can the shaft be removed easy to put it through the Hobie cassette plug as a mount
Answer:	Not sure of the exact application you’re asking about. Perhaps this could help though. Removing the head is pretty easy, the speed control is all plug in wires and the ground has a screw. The speed control is even marked where the different color wires go. My personal application is a transom mount with the controls extended to be reached at my seating position (steering in now foot pedals). Side note: high speed on a Bonified SS127 was GPS at 4.3MPH. I kinda wish I had gotten the 55lb thrust, however battery life is really good on this one. Hope this helps.

According to the Interstate battery Marine/RV battery maintenance guide pdf, you determine the AMP HOUR rating of your battery by multiplying the RC rating (reserve capacity in minutes) by .6 - so a 160 RC battery ( a big one) has an AH rating of 96. DIVIDE THE THE AH RATING BY THE AMPS DRAWN to calculate run time for a GENERAL GUIDE. So - my 160 RC battery will power a 55 lb. thrust motor for 1.85 hours at top speed on flat water with no wind or current.

Answer:	Possibly if there are anchors to attach it. It didn't work that well for me as the upper strap tends to hit you in the head. Steering my kayak was tough because the straps were always in the way.

Question:	Will the kayak mount bolt to the Scotty mounts on my inflatable without any drilling or modifications
Answer:	I wear an 11 4E and these are plenty wide for me. I like them so much I gave bought 3 pair (gray,black, & brown) and wear them 80% of the time vs “normal” shoes
Question:	Will this mount work for canoes
Answer:	I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered the 8 and it fits perfectly, and I have a very wide foot.

2. What's the widest I can mount the Railblaza Motor Mount? - The widest it can be installed is 40".

3. Can I mount this on my kayak or canoe? - The Motor Mount is designed to fit most kayaks. You will need 2 flat surfaces in order to mount it. Installation requires drilling into the hull of your vessel and using fasteners on the underside or inside the hull to properly secure it. This type of installation typically does not work on canoes due to their hull design.

4. What is the diameter of the lower unit (motor unit)? - The motor housing diameter will measure 3-5/8".
