11 best mre brand
MRE stands for "Meals, Ready-to-Eat," and it refers to a type of field ration used by the military and other organizations for individuals on the go or in situations where traditional cooking facilities may not be available. Here are some general aspects related to MREs:
Composition: MREs typically contain a complete meal with an entree, side dishes, snacks, dessert, and a beverage. They are designed to provide a balanced and nutritionally sufficient meal.
Packaging: MREs are known for their durable and compact packaging, which is designed to withstand harsh conditions. The packaging often includes a flameless heater for warming the entree without the need for a separate heat source.
Long Shelf Life: MREs have a long shelf life, making them suitable for emergency situations or for individuals who may need to store food for an extended period.
Variety: MREs come in a variety of flavors and meal options. The menus can include a range of cuisines, ensuring that individuals have some degree of choice in their meals.
Field Use: MREs are widely used by military personnel during field exercises and deployments. They are also popular among outdoor enthusiasts, campers, and hikers who require convenient and portable food options.
Caloric Content: MREs are designed to provide sufficient calories to sustain individuals in physically demanding situations. They often contain energy-dense items to meet the nutritional needs of those engaged in strenuous activities.
Self-Heating Feature: Many MREs come with a self-heating feature. By adding a small amount of water to a chemical reaction pouch, the included heater activates and warms the entree in a short amount of time.
It's important to note that while MREs are designed for specific use cases, they may not always be a first choice for regular consumption due to factors like cost and taste preferences. For recreational purposes or emergency preparedness, however, MREs can be a convenient and practical option.

Answer: | It is 5-10 depending on the temperature you store them in. At 65 degrees storage with no light people have reported meals lasting 15yrs. Personally I would replace them every 2-3 yrs after the inspection date to make sure extra fresh but again they will last way longer. |
Question: | A couple of the mre heating bags were torn upon opening, is there any way i can get replacements |
Answer: | Might check with the shipper re: their policy on damaged merchandise |
Question: | Do these come with FRH's |
Answer: | The ones I have for sale do. I can not speak for the rest of them. |
Question: | How is inspection date |
Answer: | Inspection date is 3 yrs after manufacture. This is how MREs are dated. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will I be getting the whole assortment as stated on the ads? I just want to make sure because I read a review saying that he got mostly has browns |
Answer: | I know from my own ordering experiences, I've not been disappointed or had to question the contents of the order. The order I received contained the contents as advertised on the MRE website. To ensure an equitable variety of products I'd look for an ad that detailed exactly what you'd be getting and how many of each. If it just says "variety," then you might be taking your chances. |

User questions & answers
Question: | With the upcoming threat of marshall law due to what is going on, when will this product be available again? i need something to barter to arng |
Answer: | I bought way before the pandemic. It’s just good |
Question: | So, is this the same stuff(the good stuff) that is in real mres or not? reviews are mixed |
Answer: | Yes, it is absolutely the real MRE Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese. The confusion was caused by a change in size of the pouches from 1.5 oz to 1.0 oz at the end of 2017. Also, a different manufacturer was contracted at that time to make 3 of the spreads. Customers are just now seeing these changes in the official MRE Full Meals. |
Question: | What is the ratio of yellow and green crayons contained in each pack? 2 to |
Answer: | I'd say 2/1 and if you'd like I can make a diagram for you but alas all my crayons were eaten by you. Fingerblades it is boy. As for people who have such serious answers take a chill pill. |
Question: | ingredients list ? gluten-free |
Answer: | If you have to ask, this isnt the product for you. This is a field ration, meant to sustain our motivated warrior devil-dogs while deep in country. To spread this on crappy, stale, 20 yr old vegetable crackers would be a Marine's solitary respite while trying to get his 2 hr night of sleep as he huddles under a poncho in the iraqi winter rains. Can confirm. Ingredients: blood, sweat, tears, rum, hate and more blood (for the grass to grow). |

Question: | How many meals are in this package |
Answer: | no not really kind of bulky |
Question: | Does this mre have the full meal or just the pizza |
Answer: | They should. They are 18 x 37 inches, so the 18 creates the depth, so it will depend on how much you need to fold over. I like them even though they are too big for my cats box. Will buy again. |
Question: | The selected seller cannot deliver the item to the selected delivery location. Pls choose a different delivery locat |
Answer: | Hi! These are 1.7 mil. -Houseables |
Question: | MRE for |
Answer: | No. While they are 18 inches tall, they have no width. Think of it as two 18x37 inch sheets attached on three sides. So you only have a total of 36 inches to cover the base and sides of you cat box. Your box has a base of 15, then two sides of 15 for a total of 45 inches. |

User questions & answers
Question: | When is inspection date and how long time left they are not useless |
Answer: | 3/2017 or newer. If kept in cool dark storage they will last for years. Mreinfo.com has good info on this |
Question: | do they come with heaters |
Answer: | Yes.The military mre's do come with heaters.if you get some, type in "fun with mre heaters" and see what comes up on google. |
Question: | Delivery only came with 4 varieties, not the 12 menus advertised. Was this a mistake |
Answer: | It means you should return the product for a refund and you should not eat that. It is repackaged and being sold as new. You have no idea how that product has been treated. All military issue cases of MREs have 12 individual packages each corresponding to one of the 12 meal options for that case, type A or type B. The two types provide a total of 24 possible menus, and if you get one of each case you will have all 24 options, as in every time. MREs have a very long shelf life when properly stored. In fact when frozen they are considered to have an indefinite shelf life. But when improperly stored that shelf life drops dramatically. As in, is I were you I would not risk it. But that is my army service talking. If you don't for some reason believe me, find a veteran you trust, ask if they have ever handed out MREs (like 99% chance they have) and ask if there was ever a repeat in a box. They will confirm that doesn't happen with real MREs. |
Question: | what is the difference between menu A and menu B |
Answer: | Menus refers to the recipes that come in the box. There are 24 recipes broken down into menus of 12 each per box. Searching "MRE Menus" can provide a list of the 2013 menus currently in use (and what recipes these boxes provide). Menus 1-12 are Box A and menus 13-24 are Box B.TLDR: http://www.mreinfo.com/us/mre/mre-menus.html |
