Question:	What makes this different from just a regular thermos
Answer:	Nothing major. The water stays hot/warm for a super long time. Biggest difference is that the top plastic case comes off for you to warm the bottles in. A regular thermos and a large cup would work the same but just more to travel with. I think this is definitely worth the money if breast feeding/pumping. If using formula, no need. A thermos to keep water warm would work just the same, as you can add it to the formula as needed.

Answer:	Yes, unplug it at night if it’s cold. It says it gets to 40F. This is an error. The paperwork says it gets to 40 degrees below ambient temperature. That’s the right answer. So if it’s 80 it gets to 40. If it’s 110 it gets to 70. If it’s 50 it freezes everything. Unplugged it will keep your stuff from freezing though.

Answer:	No wheels and no long handles, just has regular handles on the side to move it around

Answer:	I've had these for 20 years-this is nothing new. Some of these types of coolers can heat or cool and even have thermostats so they dont get too cold or hot INSIDE-they can freeze inside if ambient temp is below 70-75. I plug mine in the night b4 I leave and load it in the morning. Its like a refrigerator-it will take a couple hours to get cold, but longer for cokes or what ever to chill inside if they warm-hours. Do not put frozen anything inside or ice that can leak-inside a tupperware is fine as long as it doesnt leak.-the evaporation of ice (water/humidity) will rust the fan motor spindle creating loud noise and you will then throw it away to buy a new one. Its in the directions-READ FIRST!

Question:	What size solar panel does it take to power this, or if anyone has tried it
Answer:	This thing uses a surprising amount of electricity. And it's VERY poorly insulated, so as soon as it stops running it heats up quickly. In full sun, a 100w solar panel will work, but no matter where you are (assuming the US) you'll only get 4-5 hours of full, direct sun per day. The other problem is that this cooler is very poorly insulated. The top isn't even airtight. So that means it will start to warm up about half an hour after the sun is no longer directly overhead. To get around this you'll need several (3-4) 100w panels and at least 100-150 mah of battery storage if you want to keep something cold for one day.
Question:	Is there a power cord with this cooler and how long is it
Answer:	Yes, it has a 9 ft long,12vdc power cord. One end has a plug that fits into a lighter socket, the other end has a plug that connects to a short cable on the unit. It can be connected to either produce hot or cold depending on need.
Question:	Does this thing run constantly (and draw constant amps) or does it cycle on and off like a regular fridge
Answer:	The fan appears to run constantly. When using the adapter indoors the same is true so I think it is set up to run all the time and maintain a roughly 40 degree temperature drop from the surroundings. When we travel in the car, we put a couple of frozen water bottles in at the beginning of a trip. These allow us to stop for several hours of sightseeing without having the cooler get warm. WE stopped for as long as 5 hours and everything was still nice and cold when we got back to the car. On a recent 23 day trip out west, we took it into each hotel at night and plugged in the adapter. We probably used hotel refrigerator freezers a half dozen times to refreeze the bottles and when we got home we still had ice in the bottles. The nice thing is that with this cooler, everything stays dry and you don't have to get dripping water all over everything when you want a drink or worry about things falling into the water in the cooler. There is no water in the bottom.However, the cooler does draw significantly so you would not want to leave it on when the engine is not running in the car. We don't have that problem because all our outlets are controlled by the ignition key.
Question:	Can it be left on overnight and not run the battery down? Are there molded in carry handles on the sides
Answer:	Yes there are molded handles on the sides. I am a truck driver so this goes in the cab of an 18-wheeler. So I cannot say whether it would run down a car battery if ran overnight and the car is off. This works great in the cab of my 18-wheeler, it is rugged and can handle the bouncing around in an 18-wheeler. Previously I have used the Coleman plug-in coolers and they only lasted a few months. Answer:	You really need cold items in the cooler to get it to 40. I froze my water bottles and put those in and that was enough to keep it at 40.

Answer:	Ran it successfully overnight for 8 hours off of my Nissan Rogue battery, and it started up just fine, although car voltage was down to 11.8V in the morning.

Answer:	It would not hold the temperature for long. The insulation is not built to keep in hot or cold without power. However, when powered, it keeps its temperature very well. I use it every day because I drive for a living. I would recommend for longer trips and extended vehicle use.

I use it mostly as my refrigerator at home since mine blew out months ago and I had been using a styrofoam one while awaiting a new refrigerator until this arrived not long ago and I love having cold things now! The ice in the cooler just didn't do the trick every day for over 3 months until I got this! Granted my cold food storage is extremely limited with this small size and it's not for frozen foods or ice only cold items or you can switch to warm also. I like the entire concept! But I would never recommend leaving any electrical plug in item in a vehicle while unattended and the car is not running unless you read your manual for your car. Why? Because I learned the hard way that with my car something as simple as leaving the door and trunk open with the car not running drained the battery! Which seemed like it should not drain a battery but my car said that it would overload the battery if the car was not running so I had to have my battery jumped. Nothing was wrong with my batter it was made that way and the manual stated so which I never read the manual but I know better now and I try to always read the manual for things! Also, I do know that many car batteries and alternators both could possibly be drained by any item plugged in and left running in a car with the motor shut off. There again it depends on if the car were able to generate separately the power to do that if the car were cut off since many are not able. So please be sure to read your car manual to be sure about anything you plug into your car and then you'll know for sure how your car's battery is supposed to function normally with something like this! You'll love the cooler and the warmer both however you choose to use it! Take care!

Answer:	I have been using this every day since I received it as a refrigerator since I don't have one. I live in a hot area and had been using a styrofoam cooler and buying ice each day for months which was not the best answer. I will let you know that there is no way to adjust the temperature on this model. It is preset and the fan/cooling and heating unit is at the top inside the cover. Your vitamins would not be maintained at room temperature. This is a cooler or a warmer. Now it is recommended in their directions as an option I believe for maintaining medications at cool temperatures. So if that is an option for you then you may wish to consider it otherwise you may wish to consider something that has a controllable temperature setting. I hope that you find the correct storage!

You cannot remove the drawer because the pump is hooked up and I dont see a plug to drain the water. I tried a sponge but that took too long. The thing that worked best is a turkey baster that sucks up the water. Poor design by the company. If anyone has a better answer please let me know.
