Question:	How do the j rack set on the rack, both kayaks set in or out
Answer:	You get two of these in each box. You will need to order two sets. If you are hauling two kayaks or two boards. Be aware that the profile of the clamps on these "J-bar Racks" are for a crossbar that is more round or square in shape versus flat and oval as are my crossbars on my Rav4. They would clamp real well on a crossbar that was 1-1-1/2 inch round or square.
Question:	Need to know how wide a load bar the racks will accommodate (distance between the bolts that hold the rack to the load bar) or if anyone has mounted them successfully to a Taurus GL wagon factory rack
Answer:	Well both really. There are 6 bolts in total that drop through each assembly. The outer 4 have nuts underneath, and they join the two U-bars with the main assembly. The inner 2 bolts attach to a lower bracket that wraps around your roof rack. For disassembly from the roof rack, or adjustment, you just need to loosen the knobs - the other 4 bolts stay in place.I'll try to add some more photos to show the situation.
Question:	Does each set of racks come with 2 straps? Meaning there would be 4 total straps with this set
Answer:	As long as your rack is not flush with your vehicle, I think it should work. The bolts that keep the J rack in place have to be tightened from underneath.
Question:	So you get 4 total units enough for 2 kayaaks, correct
Answer:	Fits both although to be honest it would fit the square and wing shape better than the round. We switch back and forth between our round yakima cross bars and the square cross bars on our Honda Odyssey. On the yakima cross bars they have a tendency to "spin" right or left and not stay upright when sliding a boat on. On our flat/square cross bars we don't have this problem. Not sure how they'd fit on Thule because I don't own that system.

Answer:	As the Tirol is always on top, it must be placed over a sub roof, never a dominant roof or things just don’t traditionally work.

Answer:	This rack worked well on a conventional car roof top, the top of each door frame traps the canvas strap to the car body once closed. As far as I remember on a jeep with top off there is no door frame to trap the canvas against the body. Sorry this may not help but the door frame is critical with this kind of rack to make it stable.

Answer:	Hi Janet. I use the Malone HR on my 1999 Avalon...works great. It easily adapts to virtually any other vehicle. I use mine to transport a 18 foot canoe. The only cautionary note is that you should be sure to clean the top of your vehicle so that you avoid slight scratches from possible sand and grit on your car from rubbing under the rack's bladder. Answer:	I think that I should test this for you for a few weeks in the Virgin Islands. Would you please ship the car to St. Croix and I will try it out in April and May. More seriously, there would be some lift from the board on the structure - especially at highway speeds . . . I'm not sure whether the structure of the hardtop is set up to handle lift. As far as whether you could fasten the rack and the surfboard to it, it appears that would work . . . you would have some water leakage in heavy rain or rain at highway speeds, I'm sure. . . but that's usually a minor concern if you're just putting it on for a day at the beach.

Answer:	Mine doesn’t have this issue, but a trick I use for keeping things in general closed is to use Velcro cable wraps (search Velcro One Wrap). They come in big rolls, are inexpensive, and they’re available in strips of either 15” or 8” (but can be trimmed with scissors). They work like plastic cable ties, except they’re soft, and made of very fine Velcro (the kind that won’t pull fabric or get stuck to things other than itself). The ties can be looped around the wooden supports without any adhesives, won’t scratch surfaces or catch on fabric, are reusable, and quite versatile. The 15” ones come in a roll of 30 for $7. Just loop the Velcro tie around one of the wood bars, fold the stand, and wrap the Velcro tie around the other bar to hold it closed. When you want to open it, unwrap the strap, unfold the stand, and coil the Velcro tie back around itself. These are one of the most unexpectedly useful things in my household toolkit; I highly recommend giving them a try.

Answer:	I suppose that they should fit. My kayaks are 30" wide, 10' long and they fit fine. For slightly wider kayaks, as long as you strap the properly, and the length also shouldn't be a problem. Also, watch your speed. With kayaks on your roof I would stay below 65 MPH.

Question:	Would these work well with a feel free lure 13.5? It weighs right around 96 pounds or so
Answer:	My Kayak is 76 pounds and the system holds well when mounted on my removable crossbars. Much would depend on those crossbars on your vehicle. Because of the saddles, the load is actually supported to the outside of the crossbars. We also bought the Sherpak Suction Boat Roller because my wife can not lift our kayak over the saddles as mounted. With the roller, we push the kayak up from the back window of the Jeep. I can actually load and unload it myself with this roller.

Answer:	Probably. Mine are on a 21/2 in flat bar. The screws provided are quite long so assuming it would work fine.

Answer:	It fit on my 2011 crossbars but I had to ask the manufacturer for shorter bolts. The ones provided were too long.

Answer:	Kind of universal mount. I had a 4Runner, wing like crossbars roof rack. I believe it will fit, maybe better than on my round after market. If not send it back !

Question:	Just received these and one of the leg holes is too big and screw won't attach
Answer:	I had 2 issues. One screw out of four longer screws was shorter and would not reach. The other issue was while trying to attach legs together, the screw would not align with second hole. It kept hitting inside of leg and no amount of pushing and trying to realign would work.
