Question:	How do the j rack set on the rack, both kayaks set in or out
Answer:	You get two of these in each box. You will need to order two sets. If you are hauling two kayaks or two boards. Be aware that the profile of the clamps on these "J-bar Racks" are for a crossbar that is more round or square in shape versus flat and oval as are my crossbars on my Rav4. They would clamp real well on a crossbar that was 1-1-1/2 inch round or square.
Question:	Need to know how wide a load bar the racks will accommodate (distance between the bolts that hold the rack to the load bar) or if anyone has mounted them successfully to a Taurus GL wagon factory rack
Answer:	Well both really. There are 6 bolts in total that drop through each assembly. The outer 4 have nuts underneath, and they join the two U-bars with the main assembly. The inner 2 bolts attach to a lower bracket that wraps around your roof rack. For disassembly from the roof rack, or adjustment, you just need to loosen the knobs - the other 4 bolts stay in place.I'll try to add some more photos to show the situation.

Answer:	As long as your rack is not flush with your vehicle, I think it should work. The bolts that keep the J rack in place have to be tightened from underneath.

Answer:	Fits both although to be honest it would fit the square and wing shape better than the round. We switch back and forth between our round yakima cross bars and the square cross bars on our Honda Odyssey. On the yakima cross bars they have a tendency to "spin" right or left and not stay upright when sliding a boat on. On our flat/square cross bars we don't have this problem. Not sure how they'd fit on Thule because I don't own that system.

Question:	Purchased this but the small brackets (or clamps) were not in the box. How do I go about getting replacement parts
Answer:	Does your minivan have side rails and crossbars? If your van doesn't have either, the pads will work perfectly fine. If your van only has side rails, the pads will fit in between the rails assuming the rails are spaced at least 38" apart (that's the width of the pads, not including the side flaps). If your van has crossbars, the pads may not work.
Question:	Hi, do these work with thule wingbar evo crossbars
Answer:	I have only used mine upside down but I would think it would work well either way as long as you use the straps and ropes on the bow and stern of your kayak and cinch them securely

Question:	Dooes it include bow & stern lines
Answer:	Pretty straight forward stuff. I found that I had to modify a couple of things in order to get mine to fit correctly. First off, the bolts were too long so I had to cut those down. Second I put some padding on the brackets so they wouldn't scratch my crossover bars (I have a Subaru Outback). Third, the screw knobs were tight on the threads so I had to drill the plastic out so they would tighten easier. For the money I spent on this rack these modifications were simple to complete and I enjoy using them to pack out my kayaks. I hope some of this was helpful.

Answer:	Absolutely. There are 2 pairs included, and each pair will hold an individual kayak.
Question:	I have Rola 3.5" oval cross bars, will this rack work on that? Also, our kayaks are 12 feet has anyone used this for that size
Answer:	The longer bar is 16" from the pad in the cradle to it's end. Add another 1 1/2" to 2" to that height if you're questioning it's height once it's mounted on your vehicle racks.

Question:	How does the rail not slide after installing
Answer:	It did not fit my 4Runner, as the bars on the truck were too big, and it would not clamp tightly. I doubt it would work very well for your Rav 4, this rack was not worth the price. It would also only be about 10" wider than your racks, definitely not the 60" that is advertised.

Question:	Will fit 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
Answer:	I’ve carried 3. 4 would work based on the Malone equipment, but would need extra wide cross bars. I have the factory bars and I don’t think they would be wide enough for 4.
Question:	The last picture looks like the straps would be in the way when driving. Do the straps get in the way of peoples heads when they get in the car
Answer:	I am not sure about your specific cross bars but have used this product on 3 different vehicles with 3 different cross bar styles and it worked on all of them without issue. If tied down well, the 12 foot kayaks should be fine.
Question:	What is the weight limit for these
Answer:	Yes, this attaches to the cross bars on an existing roof rack, but what I love about this system is that it works just fine on factory racks, no need to buy an aftermarket one. They do make a system that does not require a rack, it is simply foam pads you put directly on the roof with straps and tie downs. Just a thought if you don't have a rack and don't want to buy one.
