Question:	Can this be used on toyota fj cruiser
Answer:	Bought this for my FJ cruiser. It fit and seemed to be securely on it. But the whole thing popped off the car while on the road, even with an additional lock on it. (It also covers the reverse sensor so the FJ alarm will trigger whenever backing up.) If you end up buying this, look at the flimsy clips that are suppose to hold onto the bottom of the back door. Even with the door closed, the FJ's doorframe will not help keep those little clips in place.

Answer:	I don’t think the tire size matters. It connects to the Jeep using a bolt thru center of the spare. We had to purchase our own bolt as the two sizes of connectors provided would not pull the rubber braces onto our tire. Now that it’s all hooked up I’m surprised by its durability. Bikes don’t wiggle about like on our hitch bike rack.

You do have to angle it just right and it sits on the rack at an angle, but it has never been a problem for me and I feel like my bike rides securely. Answer:	The curiser-styled bicycles not only have curved top-tubes but also limited space in the triangular frame (consisting of the top tube, the down tube and the seat tube). I would use caution and gauge the inner dimensions of the bicycle to make sure that they are wide enough to fit on this rack. My hunch is it will Not be easy - you will require an adapter.

Question:	Will it hold all types of bike frames
Answer:	The hole on the rack for the hitch pin is 1/2". This is designed to work with the No Wobble Bolt that is included with the rack. This bolt works to securely tighten the rack when installed on the vehicle and keeps the rack from moving during use.
Question:	On a sedan, is the trunk space rendered useless when you use this ? Can you open close trunk as usual
Answer:	The brackets that the straps are attached to rotate around the rack arms, making it fairly easy once you figure out the best position. I actually had 3 women's bikes on the rack with no problems. The straps were on the diagonal bar and the vertical bar below the seat and it was very tight, no movement at all. No issues with women's bikes at all here.
Question:	Is there any sort of anti-theft device? Can someone just walk up and take it off if the car is parked
Answer:	If you are talking about leaving the bikes, we purchased the doberman lock and secured the bikes and lock to the straight pole on back, we have two to interweave between the bike wheels and the pole. We also brought a locking pin for the hitch. Never had a problem, we have left them on there while down the shore, on bike trails while we walk or go to get something to eat.
Question:	What kind of attachment do you need for a woman's bike
Answer:	On the current version (2016 and newer) hitch racks, the carry arms are 11.5" apart on center. This translates to an outside dimension of approximately 13"

Answer:	Yes. Adult and children. My bike frame is different than my husbands, my bike sits differently but is secure.

Answer:	It depends on how you attach the rack. The bottom hook can be placed either on the bottom of the bumper, which would prohibit you from opening the trunk, or you can hook it on the bottom of the trunk, which will allow you to access the trunk when the bikes are removed.
Question:	Just received and has a lot of play up and down and to sides. Anyone have experience with this
Answer:	I think someone could most likely just steal it right off the car. You could wrap a different strap from the bottom to the top of the bike rack through the inside of your car if you were worried about theft.
Question:	does this rack hold a women's bikes
Answer:	Bikes with a non-horizontal top tube are all a bit different with their angles, so you have to move the bike around and see what works. Suffice it to say, your wheels will not be equidistance from the ground, but if the bike is stable, it is stable. Some newer bikes with shocks also have nontraditional top tubes. One good alternative is to spend a little bit of money and have a hitch attached to the car. I have a small hatchback. With a hitch, I can use a bike rack with wheel holders.

Question:	Anybody try this on a 2006 Ford Escape? I'm having trouble tightening the bottom strap
Answer:	Since no one has answered your question I'll take a shot at it. There may have a few causes for "... trouble tightening the bottom strap" assuming it means the rack is not snug, . Make sure the strap is threaded correctly through the buckle so it will grip, not slip when tightened and tie it off around the strap as further assurances it will not slip. The bottom strap may loosen up when the bike is put on the rack so either apply some downward force on the rack or put the bike on the rack before tightening the bottom strap.
Question:	Will this fit my 2019 Toyota Camry sedan
Answer:	Yes, as long it doesn’t have a foil. Go to Allen Sports web site look up theUltra Compact Folding 1 and it will show all vehicles that are compatible.
Question:	if my bike weighs a little more than 35lb, around 38lb for example, will the rack work? will the pedal scratch my car
Answer:	yes, I don't see the 3lbs as an issue at all. Install so the weight is evenly distributed. As far as the pedals, my bike does not scatch, the mount offsets the pedals.
Question:	Are there any scratches resulting from this bike rack? I see there are metal hooks that hook the top of the trunk and underneath the... car? Thank you
Answer:	The hooks are coated with a resin that seems like a semi-hard polyester. You can also put some electrical tape on them to soften the touch. I haven't had any scratching, but if I were driving my brand new $445,000 Lamborghini instead of my 10 year old $6000 Ford Escape, I might hesitate to use this rack.

Question:	So this is a weird question, but I'd like to take my bicycle with me on my commute. Can I lock my bicycle to the bike rack using a typical bike lock
Answer:	Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable.

Answer:	This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier.

In 1967, after a few years of working on the aerospace technology for the Apollo missions, Dick Allen was out of a job. Government cutbacks led Allen, a Harvard-trained physicist, to transform his garage hobby into a new industry. Answer:	Nate, I can’t really answer which filter is better as that is a matter of opinion but according to the Brita site, the water bottle filters are effective in removing chlorine taste and odor as well as filtering class VI particulates. Class VI particulates are >50 microns in size. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it fold
Answer:	It doesn't have an exact expiration date. However, I bought this for my 13 yr old daughter. She drinks alot of room temperature water. (I'd say minimum of 6 bottles per day if not more) Because she drinks so much, I replace her filter every 45 days. I think it depends on how much water u think you'd drink daily. On average it can be used about 3 months before being changed out. I hope this helps!

Answer:	None of our racks are approved for use on a trailer mounted receiver hitch. Any trailer or trailered vehicle (including 5th wheel type) has a slight side to side motion that's very low frequency (1 to 1-1/2 times per second) that fatigues the steel from which the racks are manufactured. The fatigue first happens at a molecular level, but eventually (several thousands of cycles later) a visible crack will appear. Once the crack has formed, it will enlarge, finally to the point where the rack drops off the vehicle and the rack (and bikes) impact the roadway. This is also a dangerous situation for whoever may be following the trailer on the highway. We have seen 100+ incidents where the consumers/end user has not taken this advice and suffered disastrous results. I've even had phone calls from consumers who said they read that advice (do not use on a trailer) and ignored it, only to discover a tragic end result. So . . . don't do it. If you insist on doing it regardless of the above, please use some other companies’ rack.
