Answer:	I accidentally reformatted an external hard drive and was unable to recover my files with this program, even though I had not saved anything under the new format. Perhaps I was given wrong information that reformatting simply switched file paths. I have never really used it to recover a file I had accidentally deleted though. I don't think deleting and reformatting are the same thing but then, I'm not an all-out computer/tech geek (no offense to those who are...).

Answer:	It can using System Restore provided you have created a System Check Point that includes each time a System Restore. Otherwise I do not think it can. If you do this CheckPoint/System Resore to an earlier date you will have to do the Windows update again. You may wish to download a free driver update utility. I recommend Drive Booster by IOBit.
