Question:	Can it be used only as a freezer
Answer:	No, it only lowers the ice production section below 32 F. Once the ice falls into the bin, it starts to warm up and will eventually melt as the storage section of the ice maker is above 32 F. This is why you have to have permanent drain hookup as some of the ice is always melting. I have used this ice maker for over a year and have been very happy with it as it makes lots of ice and automatically stays full unless you're using it faster than its production rate.
Question:	Is it too noisy for inside the house
Answer:	Ours is inside the house but it is in a downstairs bar area. If it will be in a room you spend a lot of time in you will hear a dull humming of a motor off & on & the water coming in & then the ice falling. Much like an ice maker in your refrigerator in the kitchen . I would say no to “ too noisy” . We are Very happy with ours!

Answer:	We have had our ice maker at least 4 yrs. , the filter must be made into the unit. It is not something we have ever changed ..... unlike our refrigerator filter for water.

Question:	I'm looking to use this in my coffeehouse to make coffee cubes with. Would this work? Has anyone used it for this purpose
Answer:	I'm not sure if you are speaking of using it for business purposes when you say coffeehouse, but as long as you would give it a headstart I'm sure it could keep up. I personally haven't use it for any cubes with favorings but I don't see why not. I would make sure to run it through the cleaning cycle daily.

Answer:	The basket hold enough to fill a large ice bag. I just had a knee replacement and as long as I empty the basket into the freezer when it is full it is keeping up with icing my knee.

Answer:	The self-cleaning function is super easy. During a time when there isn't ice in the basket, simply press the self-cleaning button and it takes care of the rest. This is our third ice maker and neither of the others had a self-cleaning button. This saves a lot of time and mess!
Question:	Can you store the ice in this machine or will it have to be bagged n moved to freezer
Answer:	As the machine makes ice it puts it into a collection basket. It can be left there for a short period of time but will need to be moved to a bag and put in a freezer. The holding basket is not refrigerated and ice will melt if left unattended for to long.

Question:	Where is the drain located on the unit? Does it require a floor drain, or could I plumb it into an existing sink drain under an adjacent cabinet
Answer:	The drain is on the back side of the unit on the left side of you are facing the front. It’s about an inch or two from the very bottom of the unit. You can plumb it anywhere that has natural “fall” as this unit drains by gravity. As long as the drain hose is below the drain on the unit it should be ok. You can also buy a pump if you want to pump it above the drain. You can look up condensation pumps to see your options.

Answer:	Square , medium size . You can adjust the thickness of cubes .
Question:	Can this be on a constantly draining ststem
Answer:	Yes you run the drain hose to your drain to allow the melting ice to drain from the bin. In my case I don’t have a dedicated drain so I elevated the machine to allow for gravity feed back into the water bottle it pulls from so no water is wasted just recirculated.
Question:	How can I get a copy of the owner’s manual ahead of time? My plumber will not run a supply line or drain until he sees the installation instructions
Answer:	I doubt you can. It’s a very basic instruction manual and Almost all of these install the same way. I would just wait until you receive the unit. I would also consider a different plumber. These are very easy to instal yourself and you can find instructional videos on the internet. The water line looks to be a 1/8 line and the drain looks like a 1/2 inch. Looks like standard ice maker line you would find at any home improvement store. It’s pex line. It also come with a fitting that can book the pex line to a “t” fitting off of a sink supply line.
