Answer:	I don't know that it will necessarily anger the mouse - as long as it does not get stuck in the wheel. Our hamsters were so small that they could not pull themselves out of the wheel. And as far as a mess - this cage made less of a mess than some of our other ones but hamsters, gerbils, mice are all messy.

Answer:	On the side. I would recommend NOT buying this cage though. The wheel is SOOOOO hard to clean. We only had it 3 weeks and we bought a new one. We are very happy with the new one we bought and our hamster loves it. Question:	Will these fit Lixit hampster cages
Answer:	It's firm cardboard with edible paper cover on the outside. The edible paper cover is what our chinchilla loves to rip up and eat. The cardboard is non toxic, so it won't hurt a small animal. There is a big ball of removable cottony fiber in the tube. I usually throw that away. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would be good for a small animal to chew.

Answer:	I wouldn't recommend this for a bunny. The interior with ramps would be to small maybe even for a guinea pig...It is good size for 1 or 2 rats...I have 1 rat in at this time and she chewed thru 2 cages with plastic bottoms
