| Answer: | take these measurements (and a tape measure with you): The cap measures 3" across, at the wide points. It is (approximately) 1 and 3/8 inches tall. It has two locking tabs, 180 degrees apart, at the very bottom. They appear to be the same size. If the new cap comes with a retaining strap, use it. If it doesn't, use the old one, unless you no longer have the cap. The retaining strap is very valuable, and keeps the cap from getting munched by the blade. Once again, the failing of these caps is that the knurls for the fingers are so large that they get caught on low hanging shrub branches, removing the cap from the tank. B&S would do well to either hrink the knurls, or smooth out the top of the cap altogether. |

You should have a fuel filter and a fuel shut off on gas powered equipment, especially if it is used infrequently. |

Have no complaints or fuel flow issues. |
