How to install the Reptile Fogger

Very Important ！Caution when install the fog output pipe

During installation, if the fog output pipe is bent downward, because the principle that fog will condense into water in the depression, the fog outlet pipe will be blocked by water after a period of time.

If the fog output pipe is blocked, there will no fog come out, and will cause fog to leak from the sides, or cause fog condense into water and leak from the bottom of fogger.

How to install the fog output pipe correctly: make the pipe form a smooth upward curve without any 'U' shaped bends, as shown in the picture above

Matters Need Attention When Install The Water Tank

when install the water tank, please check whether the white lid on bottom of water tank is tilt or stuck, if is, please push it back to the middle.

If the lid is stuck, the water in the tank will can't flow into the base from here, and the humidifier will automatically take the measure 'dry run protection' stop work and turn on the red indicator light.

Answer:	That is an interesting question... I think the correct answer is that it is just a mister. But simulating rain fall could be accomplished by misting in an environment that catches the mist and allows the water to run off like rain. This is an awesome mister. I use it to maintain moisture in my 60 gallon vivarium. I keep the humidity between 80-100% by misting for 4 seconds every 2 hours.

Answer:	They are pressure connections, so not ideal to connect and disconnect everyday. They make a screen lid brace and covers the hole you would still through the screen top. Just look up the screen lid piece and it will be self explanatory.

Answer:	The starter kit alone does not have this function (always on) because it comes with an ST-24 humidity controller. However, if you go on to the mistking website and order an HT-24 humidity controller instead of the ST-24 with your starter kit, you can program the controller to maintain the humidity at a specific humidity percentage, and the mister will turn on when a certain low humidity is reached. This may be what you want. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I didn’t receive instructions either with mine. I use bottled water and I only need to put 1 bottle in after the initial start. I put the filter and the green plate in then put the top on put it where it needs to go THEN I used I believe 1 1/2 bottles. I fill it to the seem line inside. Plug it in then it will start it’s beautiful waterfall. I hope this helps? We love ours we have 4. I use 1 for our iguana lol. He loves it !!
Question:	Can I just use my britta filter water for my chameleon
Answer:	I have been told that some people do use filtered water. I always go ahead and put the treatment in that you can get a Petco. Also, make sure you give your chameleon calcium with every feeding and in its water. We learned this the hard way. Good luck!

Question:	it stopped misting if i set it on the schedule. It will work if i set ct 0 but if u put it to 30 and wait the 30 it doesnt start. Solution
Answer:	If your WT (wait time) is set on 30, then it will take 30 min from the time you turned it on/set it before it starts misting. It's programmed to not start until the end of the WT period, rather than at the beginning of it. Took me some time to figure that out as well. Hope this helps!

Answer:	There are three buttons in the middle; "on" "o" and "cycle." You need to have the "cycle" button selected. The "on" button will keep the spray on continuously. If you have selected the cycle button and it doesn't stop misting after the selected time and then stop, there may be something wrong with the machine.

Answer:	Yes. With most additions to a reptile enclosure with enough thinking and trial and error it can work with a mesh enclosure. When i installed mine. I tested where i wanted the spray to go and at what angle. Then i made a small hole in the mesh and pushed the nozzle through. Then superglued the nozzle in place so it wouldnt move and the hole wouldnt get any bigger in the mesh

Question:	Can you adjust how much fog goes into the tank at a time
Answer:	It is extremely easy to adjust the amount of fog output. It takes a little playing around with to get it at the level you need. It took me maybe a couple days of playing with it to figure out where I want it at night and then during the day.
Question:	Is this a mister as well? I bought a reptirain mister and it sucks. Can't find any other kind of mister to replace it
Answer:	It is not a mister, but it does let out a cool fog which does leave moisture behind. If you are looking to keep glass wet or a plant or two it will do that if you place the tube in a good spot. If you are trying to mist an entire enclosure it won't do that.
Question:	In a 3 foot long 4 foot high screen cage. Will the fog evaporate quickly or remain thick enough to expand through the cage
Answer:	I have my herp fogger in a much bigger cage, and it remains thick and spreads slowly. I bilieve in a 3ft long 4ft high screen cage the fog will remain thin and spread quickly.
Question:	How often does everyone have to refill their bottles with water
Answer:	Almost daily especially in winter when we use the house heater or wood stove (Both remove humidity from the air). We live in an area with very low humidity.

Answer:	This is just a water mister. It holds a good amount of water and the water last as often as you use it. You can always add more water to the bottle when it gets low or whenever you like. I use mine daily with oil and water in it. But I haven't used it for a month yet. However, it still has a lot of water in it remaining.
Question:	Does anyone know of a spray bottle like this that is 3.4 oz or less for travel? TSA requires 3.4 oz or less
Answer:	It’s refillable...which means you can empty it before traveling and then refilling it once you get to your destination.
Question:	Would this be considered an aerosol type spray? Similar items use the word aerosol in the description but the mist looks identical to this
Answer:	"An aerosol is a colloid of fine solid particles or liquid droplets, in air or another gas. Aerosols can be natural or anthropogenic. Examples of natural aerosols are fog, dust, forest exudates and geyser steam." - Wikipedia So technically any fine mist is an aerosol. Generally people are referring to a gas propellant such as butane, dimethyl ether, propane, and other VOCs commonly found in older hair sprays. Aerosols got a bad name because the VOC propellants are bad for the environment. But the word can also describe water vapor. I'm honestly not sure if you're asking if this product just produces a fine mist of water or if it's using a VOC, so I apologize if this answer comes across as rude. I don't mean it to be. It produces a fine mist of water by use of air pressure created with the manual squeeze of the trigger, nothing more involved, no VOCs or additives. Just air pressure. Hope this helps!

Question:	Where do i put the water? i poured it down the clear tube and water started flooding all over my desk. should i have left the tape on the sides
Answer:	Please check the fourth image on the product page, you need to peel off the tape on both sides of the water tank, which is used to fix the water tank, it is use to prevent tank from loosening and breaking in transportation. There is a white lid at the bottom of the water tank, unscrew it and filling water from there. After adding water, screw the lid back on and place the water tank on the base.
