Answer:	You can use any filter rated for 30 Gallons+, so this filter, rated for a 75 gal tank, will work. More flow and filtration of water will not hurt your fish. The water will be very clean and your fish will be okay. However, be aware that extra filtration (i.e. a filter for a 75 gal tank on a 30 gal aquarium) will filter-away weekend feeder tabs faster than a filter rated for a 30 gallon tank, so if you plan extended travel, have an auto-feeder (or a friend) to ensure your fish do not starve. I learned this one the hard way :(

Answer:	I'm not sure if it is exactly the same as the SunSun, but I can tell you that this has been an excellent filter! I have 2 very large (dirty, ammonia emitting) goldfish in a 55 gallon, and my water is completely clear and sparkling! The directions to set up were pretty much impossible to figure out, but it is so easy and logical, I really didn't need them. Took me a while to figure out that the thing coming up from the intake tube is a skimmer that pulls the oils and debris from the surface. There are 4 trays that hold a lot of filter media. It is very quiet... I can't even hear it in the cabinet under my tank. I like this one because the UV light is removable for replacement without disassembling the whole thing. Tip: when you fill it with water to prime it, leave enough room to push the top down to clip. I didn't and it overflowed. It would have been nice to know that since I've never used a canister filter before. Just get it close and use the primer manual pump to finish when it is turned on. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I put the bio balls in first. then the ceramic. finally the filter pads in the same layer. i only use 3 stages leaving room for something else like carbon bags. i love mine it works great.. very quiet so when you start to hear a very minimal hum coming from your tank it is time to clean it. and finally make sure you have a towel with you when cleaning it you will lose a very small (2-4 ounces) amount of water when you disconnect it.

Also ensure that you you have the water level correct. I have mines set in 7 inches of water. Once I got all those parameters set, it has been working like it should. You will have to keep adjusting it until you get it.

Question:	I have had this filter running for a month now. The water has a yellow tint to it. All the levels are good. What is causing this how do I fix? Carbon
Answer:	If you are referring to the connecting water supply tubbing it should be no larger than 3/4 inch, and my recommendation would be to use 5/8 ID and be sure to use the clamps that come with the unit. some farm equipment and pet stores will sell a metric size that fits well also. Make sure it fits snugly. the Farm equipment stores will have a reinforced tubbing that will help against collapsing over time.

Answer:	No I have lost power several times while running this filter and no leaks. Never had any kind of leaks power or otherwise! I have been using these canister filters for 2+ years and I think they are better than filters costing twice as much. FYI don’t leave the UV light running 24/7/365, the plastic on the media trays will break down (same with any UV light)!

Question:	Why does this filter not have charcoal
Answer:	I agree with first person's answer. In my 20 years of experience, charcoal is not needed in the hobby outside of removing medications from the water if no longer needed. Other than that, charcoal only helps to mask the problems you are developing in your tank that more regular water changes or more biological filtration can help resolve. Personally, I feel charcoal is a waste of money and I say use that space to add more biological filtration (or mechanical if you don't already have a spot for that) and do more regular water changes.

Answer:	I would recommend the Camco Water Filter Stand. Part no. 40775. Available at Amazon and other rv resellers. One of the reasons I bought this filter is we don't use our rv too often and it as it makes it easy to flush the water system with bleach. (remove filter from canister, pour in some bleach, then its easy to add the bleach to my water tank/system)
Question:	does this RVF rv water filter come with a filter
Answer:	Yes, a granular activated carbon filter is included. This filter says it is good for filtering 250 gallons of water. It will filter much more but you will need to open the filter housing and remove the filter in order for the filter to dry between camping trips. Otherwise you will have bacteria growing inside the filter. We usually only camp for 3 days at a time. Then we may not camp again for another month. You could camp for 1 month using this one filter provided in the package if the water is as good as the campground water I have been using in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. I prefer to just use a sedement filter for the camper, this keeps all the dirt and small rocks out of your faucel valves with no maintenance problems.

Answer:	Don't quote me on this but I'm sure the UV light works. The switch/light on for UV light is faint that is barely noticeable. The light doesn't turn when it's open or unattached from the bottom of the canister.

Question:	Will this be good in a 40 gallon breeder tank ? With sand ? Or should I just stick with 2 power filters
Answer:	I have two of these filters and I use one in a 55 gallon tank with pea gravel and it works perfectly. The other I use in a 100 gallon indoor pond and the water is crystal clear.
Question:	Can you use this filter for lower water level tanks such as turtle tanks
Answer:	I use this in my 55 gal turtle tank which has about 7" of water in it. I had to tape up the intake pipe joints to reduce air leaks and I had to manually prime the intake line to get it to start but it does work fine once the siphon gets started. I'm going to drill the tank below the water level and convert it to gravity fed because it's a real pain to get started due to the vertical distance the water has to travel to leave the tank.
Question:	Can I use this in a half full tank? I have a 20gallon long breeder tank a little over half full, about 11 or 12 gallons
Answer:	There is plenty of power in the pump but you will have to make some modifications to the fittings in order to extend the height in the tank. I set mine up for turtles and was able to get the water level 5 inches below the rim with the firings provided.
Question:	Can I use this on a 45g reef tank
Answer:	Yes it will work. But canister filters will harbor nitrates if not cleaned every week. A good protein skimmer and good water flow is much better for salt water. I would recommend a hang on back filter just to clear the debris and clarify the water as needed, it doesn't have to run constantly. Canister filters are not needed for reef aquariums. I bought this canister for my freshwater fish tank and it's decent for that.
