Answer:	Firstly,you need to set the temperature.If you set at 78,if the water in the tank is lower than the setting,the heater will be heated, the red light is on. After heating,the water in the tank up to the temperature of the setting,the heater won’t heat up, the red light is off. So don't worry about the light shock. Answer:	I don't see any issue of mounting this unit in a circular shaped tank. One major issue is to make sure that the unit is totally submerged preventing it from burning out. There is a line on it stating it must be below water. Do this... and it will last.

Answer:	There is no "Setting" on this thermometer. It is controlled by a separate controller or thermostat. I control mine using my Apex Neptune controller. This thermometer is for liquid. Answer:	I don’t know why you wouldn’t be able to place it vertical if space is limited, but I would think it would be more efficient horizontally since the warm water would be more evenly distributed that way. I would use some sort of power head to help with flow to circulate the warm water away from the wand. Unless the area you’re placing it in already has a high rate of flow.

How to choose right size heater?

• Rule of thumb is between 2.5 and 5 watts per gallon of water volume. This can obviously vary depending on how cold the room is that your aquarium is in, and how large the tank is.
• For example, if you have a 5 gallon tank, you need to heat the water up to 10 degrees above room temperature. The suggested heater size is 50 watts. However, if your home is on the colder side at 65°F and you need to raise the water temperature by 15 degrees, then consider upsizing to the next available heater at 75 watts.

Answer:	I have the fluval flex 15 gal with this heater placed in the vertical position inside the pump chamber at the back of the aquarium. Works great. There is a minimum water imersion depth mark and label circling the cap of heater about an inch below where the electric cord attaches to the tube. Such a mark makes no sense if the heater could only be installed horizontally. So, yea... it's OK.

How to set the digital heater temp controller?

1. When plug in, firstly press the button "Up" to choose the temp unit pattern,℃ or ℉.
2. Set the temp: press the button "Set" for 2-3 seconds until the set temp led flickering, then press the button "Down" or button "Up" to set the value to your desired temp, finally, press the "Set" button again to lock the value.
3. You can set the temp from 32℉to 104℉.
4. The controller will remember the last setting temp if power off occurs, but will change to the default unit ℃, when the power on again, you may need to reset the unit pattern to ℉.

The separate thermometer can detect a temperature from -68℉ to 140℉, the measurement accuracy is 0.2℉ plus or minus, very sensitive.

Answer:	Hello, This heater is rated for an aquarium up to 35 gallons. That is assuming you are only trying to heat the aquarium up to 9 degrees from the ambient room temperature. If your room is 70 degrees and the tank needs to be 80 degrees than you would have to go for a bigger size as the heater will have to stay on to long to bring the aquarium to the desired temperature which can ruin the internal parts of the unit.

2 heating modes shfit automaticlly

1. MAX heating mode

It means fast heating at full power, when heater is first time to heat or when the water temp drops 1℉ or more lower than the set temp. For example, the water temp is 77.5F, at first time heating, no matteryou set the temp to 78F or 81F, the heater will heating in this mode to heat up quickly.

2. ECO heating mode

It means slow heating to save energy, it only work when the water temp drops off 0.51℉-1℉ than the set temp, for example the set temp is 78℉, after 2 hours the water temp drop off to 77.2℉, the heater will heating in this mode.

Error code- Er

1. Auto shut off when out of water

If you see the error code "Er" on the controller and the heater display, it means the heater is not well installed fully under water, it will auto shut off.

In this case, please place the heater fully submerged in water, we suggest 2 inch below the water surface at least.

2. Auto recover work when fully under water

The heater will automatically work normally after you placing the heater fully under water.

1. Auto shut off when water temp over 97℉

If you see the error code "EH" on the controller and the heater display, it means the water temp is too hot, it will auto shut off, but the wast heat of it may make the water temp go up for a little more.

In this case, please wait the water to cool down or you can aad some water into the fish tank.

2. Auto recover work when water temp drops below set temp

Please note the controller is locked during this period.

Question:	Any idea what code e3 is
Answer:	Maybe I don’t understand, but our temps have dropped to 14 degrees and it’s still pumping. To me the only way the tubes can freeze is if water is getting inside the lines I suppose if you turn off the pump and the water went in the lines it could then freeze. Chech the check valves are working.
Question:	Can it be used for an outdoor pond
Answer:	Any added oxygen is beneficial to any body of water. I have customers using this in 300 plastic tub ponds as well as others in 20,000+ ponds. It comes down to what you are using it for. Aeration, winter Ice control, aesthetics, etc. If you have dead areas in your pond with no circulation, then this aeration is perfect. If you have a stagnant body of water that is 1/4 acre, and think this aerator will keep the pond alive, then you will be very upset.
Question:	is this weather resistant? rain....cold weather etc
Answer:	As others have suggested here, you'll need to keep it covered with anything that will protect the air pump from the elements. It's advisable keep it from direct contact with the ground as well. There are a variety of ways to do this, including decorative faux rock covers with air vents designed specifically to cover air pumps.

Answer:	According to the instruction book it comes with two 25' lengths of tubing. My husband put this in, so I have to refer to the booklet. It seems the stones are about 4" across. Mine are buried in rock now so can't see them. Maybe someone else can be more specific.

Answer:	11.8 inches according to the item's web page description. by memory, that sounds right. I was thinking it was about a foot before I found that measurement.

Answer:	Yes it comes with a guard. The minimum I believe is about 68 and the Max about 92 I think? I keep mine about 85 but the actual temperature in the tank is about 80. I bought the appropriate size. One rated for even larger than my tank but it still does not heat up to temp.

How to choose right size heater?

• Rule of thumb is between 2.5 and 5 watts per gallon of water volume. This can obviously vary depending on how cold the room is that your aquarium is in, and how large the tank is.
• For example, if you have a 5 gallon tank, you need to heat the water up to 10 degrees above room temperature. The suggested heater size is 50 watts. However, if your home is on the colder side at 65°F and you need to raise the water temperature by 15 degrees, then consider upsizing to the next available heater at 75 watts.
• 500 Watt, for 60-120 gallon tank
• 800 Watt, for 120-180 gallon tank

Answer:	The heater does not come with a temperature controller, it is continuously on as long as it is plugged in. Also, since this is such a high-power heater, you might have large temperature fluctuations in a small volume. For such a small amount of liquid, I would suggest the smallest one in the heater family, the 300 Watt heater. That is, if you are looking to reach 90 deg F. I do not have experience with these over 50 deg C, so I can't say about reaching 90 deg C. These are extremely powerful heaters, so I'm sure you'll have no problem.Something else to note, is the surface area of your volume that is in contact with the air and the air temperature. The higher you set your heater for, the more heat is going to transfer into the air, so keep this in mind while setting up your system.
