Answer:	The small pointy end mounts in the tank and then the temperature reading display mounts on the outside they are connected.

Answer:	Firstly,you need to set the temperature.If you set at 78,if the water in the tank is lower than the setting,the heater will be heated, the red light is on. After heating,the water in the tank up to the temperature of the setting,the heater won’t heat up, the red light is off. So don't worry about the light shock. Answer:	I don't see any issue of mounting this unit in a circular shaped tank. One major issue is to make sure that the unit is totally submerged preventing it from burning out. There is a line on it stating it must be below water. Do this... and it will last.

Question:	What does the red light mean? New heater, had a red light for a few minutes but then no light and the water temperature hasn’t warmed up at all
Answer:	For mine, the red light means the heater is activated. When it turns off, it means the water has reached the maximum set temperature (not adjustable) of the heater, probably in the low 80s.

Answer:	Yes it will work.It’s 75 more watts then you need. Be careful on installing, it may raise your initial temp from 68 to 78 in 20 minutes. I don’t like my tank that warm so I use a timer that only comes on a few hours at night (29 gal tank). Monitor it closely for a few days, any malfunction will turn that small tank into crock pot.
Question:	Will this work for 10 gallon tank too
Answer:	I’m pretty sure it would. It is factory set for 78 degrees. I don’t think 10 gallon would make a difference. I have a 20 gallon and it works great. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I haven’t had that issue...yet. It’s only been 2 weeks since I’ve had my unit and so far it’s temp reading is similar to a manual thermometer I have at the bottom of the fish tank, within a few degrees...a small 3.5 gal Betta tank. How long have you had your unit?
Question:	How do I turn the temp down to reach my desired temp
Answer:	For example: current water temperature is 60F, the target temperature set in last time is 80F, you want to set the new target temperature to 70F, the steps are following: A, Long-press the power button in heater controller to unlock. The number flashing on the LED screen is 80F (target temperature set last time) B, short-press the power button 20 times, the number on LED screen will increase from 80F to 93F, and then go back to 64F, and finally increase to70F. Short-press one time, temperature increase 1F. C, Wait for 3 seconds ( no operation), the setting is active. New target temperature is 70F now.

Question:	What are these broken up chemical film particles on surface of water after putting it in
Answer:	Sounds like you have a lot of protein in the tank that is causing an "oil slick" on the surface. It is unrelated to the heater, other than warmer water may be causing the particles to rise and form the slick. Do a partial water change of 25%. Feed less.
Question:	Red light keeps turning on and off. Temp stays at 60. I returned it twice so are all of them broken
Answer:	No, the heaters are not broken, the thermometer is the issue. The red light will not stay on all the time as that would cause it to overheat the tank. It will go on and off every few minutes until it raises the temperature to between 76 and 80 degrees. Then it goes off for a little bit. This will happen more frequently as it is raising the temperature and less often once it gets there. If your home is actually 60 degrees, you will need a larger heater or two heaters in order to properly heat the tank. Heaters are calibrated for an average room temperature of 72 degrees.
Question:	can this be placed in a plastic tub
Answer:	Yes, it can be placed in a plastic tub. However, keep in mind it may not attach very firmly, and you do not want it to float up. Do not place anything directly on it, as that could cause it to malfunction, but you might want to build a "cave" around it, to prevent it from floating up out of the water while it is heating. That would definitely cause it to malfunction! Otherwise, there are no issues with using it in a plastic tub, acrylic tank, etc.
Question:	Would this product be able to heat a 40 gallon tank? I need one to heat my turtle's tank
Answer:	This heater can heat up to 30 actual gallons of water so if your turtle tank is half to three-quarters of the way full, then yes, it can. Answer:	I don't believe the heater gets hot enough to scald the fish. The heater only lets the water get 2-3 degrees cooler than the setpoint (if I set the temperature to 75 F, the heater will turn on at 72 or 73 F), so it doesn't need to work hard to get the water up to temperature. Also, water is an excellent conductor of heat, so if the outside temperature of the heater is hot enough to scald the fish, then all the water is probably hot enough to scald the fish.
Question:	Why is the heater blinking ll? i just plugged it in this morning and it is warming but blinking red ll. is it defective? please let me know. thank
Answer:	If you click though all the temperature options, and go back to desired temperature, it should stop flashing LL and show you the temperate it is at instead

How to use the external controller:

• Plug in, the controller LED lights on, press the button and switch it continuously until the LED display shows your expecting temperature (From 68~93℉ ), and wait 3 seconds for system confirmation, then heater will start heating up to your preset temperature.
• Red lights means the heater is on heating mode, when heater heating up to the preset temperature, blue lights on, and heater will stop heating (Restart heating when temperature less than preset temperature)
• Operation for example: Plug in and LED display shows preset temperature 68℉, you want adjust it to 78℉, then press the button 10 times continuously, LED display will shows 78℉, and wait 3 seconds flashing, then setting fishined, heater will start heating from 68℉ to 78℉.

Maintenance:

This heater is free maintenance item, for the good of heater function and service life, we suggest:

• Check the heater working status regularly, if any strange signs,please plug off immediately.
• Clean the heater suction cups regularly (3 months)with 140℉ warm water and soak it for a while.
• If you found any soil or moss things covered on the heater, please plug off the heater and clean it with fresh water after a few minutes later, especially the heating part stains. Do not use any other liquid to clean the heater, it may damage the heater

• Please install and use this heater under rated voltage conditions(110V-120V/60Hz).
• This heater is designed for small fresh/sea water tanks, please do not use it in chemical water or any other heating purpose, it may damage the heater.

Question:	The temp reading keeps fluctuation from 79.1 to 80.1up &down by tenths/degree. water temp stays constant. does it do this all the time
Answer:	My experience has been that it DOES fluctuate slightly but not enough to make a difference in the water temperature to be harmful to the fish
Question:	Wonder if this would keep a 7 gal chichen water bucket from freezing
Answer:	If you're bucket is suspended and the cord follows the line holding the bucket then the chickens leave the cord alone. I've been using it this way for 2 months; works great. I use the spring action drinking cups attached and cover them ever m every night with thermal coverings to keep the cup from freezing. I made the coverings from cut up cooler bags.
Question:	Can this heater be hidden under the substrate

Answer:	The length of heater rod to controller is 4.9 ft. The controller to power plug is 4.76 ft.
Question:	My water is at 77.6° f and i have the ee code popping up. how do i either reset it or turn the error code off
Answer:	The instructions are clear in this. 1, the unit is broken (send it back). 2, the heating tube has water in it (send it back). I can only assume that QC at Hygger is severely lacking. I had to also return a unit. Those that I do have have been operating flawlessly for se very months. Other than the apparent QC difficulty I highly recommend the device. How to choose right size heater?

• Rule of thumb is between 2.5 and 5 watts per gallon of water volume. This can obviously vary depending on how cold the room is that your aquarium is in, and how large the tank is.
• For example, if you have a 5 gallon tank, you need to heat the water up to 10 degrees above room temperature. The suggested heater size is 50 watts. However, if your home is on the colder side at 65°F and you need to raise the water temperature by 15 degrees, then consider upsizing to the next available heater at 75 watts.
• 500 Watt, for 60-120 gallon tank
• 800 Watt, for 120-180 gallon tank
