| Answer: | Umbrellas can differ in size quite a bit. Large definitely maybe even extra large depending on the size of your bird. I bought a smaller tent type of "cat bed" for one of mine. She is a rescue and suffers from ocd and loves to go in it and rub the floor. That cant be entered from both sides though and they have to turn around to get back out. I do love the Happy Huts for my smaller birds but for some reason my cockatoos didnt like them. Your first "house" is going to have to be kind of a trial...and see what they like. My cockatoos each l have a large cage so that is a consideration also. Hope this helps a little. |

| Answer: | I put "yesterday's news pellets" (cat litter) under the tray part of the toilet/potty. I stick the toilet it in the corner of the cage they already chose to poop in. I will put a couple of their poops in the potty so they get used to it and know it's ok to poop there. They don't always use the toilet but it does help. The cat litter I use is made of paper and is unscented, and have found it helps control order between cleanings. I use it for rats by the way. Hope that helps! It's worth trying for sure |

| Answer: | I used twist tie wire from Home Depot that comes on a spool (in the outside garden department) to craft a loop that I placed between the hay holder and the screw on cap to suspend the hay holder in a solid sided pen. The loop is anchored outside the pen. So far my guinea pigs haven't gone behind the hay holder to chew on the plastic covered wire and it's been several months. I hope this helps. |
