Answer:	There are plenty of different blades available, online and at pet shops. You want Oster blades, and they really haven't changed the design in at least 40years. I have a couple of #10s and also use #8 and even a #40 to clean the unseen tummy area where they might get mats

Answer:	The clippers will get hot. Besides the blade getting hot, you will feel it in your hand from the body of the clipper. I check the blade periodically by putting the flat of the blade on the back of my hand or cheek. I don't believe the dogs feel the heat much when you are clipping the body of the coat but you need to be careful of their faces, feet and other sensitive parts if you clip them. I blow on their feet while clipping if I am close to being done with the task. Otherwise, I let the clippers cool & do something else such as brushing or clipping toenails while the clippers cool.

Question:	how does it work on cats
Answer:	I have a cat this is scared of a pin dropping 3 miles away, and I was able to use this on her with no problem whatsoever. By the end she even seemed to love it. One trick I did was turn the razor on but use a comb/hand to comb the cat for 5 or 6 times. This will get them to associate the razor sound with a pleasing action. Then later put the comb aside and just use the razor and they will be none the wiser. Or at least that seemed to trick my scaredy cat. I would highly recommend this product. Good luck!

Answer:	I haven't tried using it on people, but it works very well on dogs and cats. The different heads for the trimmer are intended for different lengths of fur, not human hair. There are human hair trimmers on the market that would probably work better on people.

Answer:	i just used this on my cats. with the shortest comb ... i'm having trouble clipping the fine fur on the stomach and sides.

Question:	Is this a quiet machine? I have not shaved my kitty before and he is 8, I am afraid he will be too scared if it makes a loud noise when it is on
Answer:	My vet offers cat shaving for long haired cats whose mats need to be cut off. We rescued a half wild cat who won't let us brush or trim claws. The vet tech does a great job once a year on this cat. So yes, some cats do need to be groomed on their undersides. We've used Wahl clippers for many years on our various dogs and always get great results. Other brands aren't as easy to use in my opinion.
Question:	Do these work well on a thick curly coat? My cocker spaniel has been very difficult to groom at home due to clippers not going through his coat
Answer:	I have a Shih Tzu and her hair gets very long. I am also very familiar with the Cocker Spaniel coat as I have owned one as well. Yes it will work fine. Go slow in the direction of the hair, not against the direction. Keep the blades moderately oiled. Also make sure you detangle any possible knots and brush thoroughly before you cut. You will be fine.

Answer:	It's actually really easy. It has different guards on it so you don't get two close at first. As long as you can get your dog to sit still and you go slow you shouldn't have any problems.

Answer:	Yes, this works great on long haired cats. We use it to trim around our cat's rear end, and also his ruff. Excellent to keep the fur trimmed and to deal with mats.

Answer:	As human clippers do not work very well on dogs, I would suggest buying the proper clippers Intended for use on humans.
Question:	Is this good with curly haired dogs? I have a long haired wire dachshund
Answer:	My dog has straight hair, but the clipper works well for me, it does get a little warm with prolonged use, I have used it quite a few times, and it cuts well without the worry of nipping the skin, I don't see why it wouldn't work just as good curly hair, good luck.
Question:	Will this cut through / get out mats on a Maltese
Answer:	I agree with Melissa's suggestion on July 19, 2017. That method has worked for me on my Maltese mix. I also use a product called Cowboy Magic. It's used a lot on horses tails to keep out tangles, but it is amazing on getting out mats! You only use a tiny bit. It may seem oily but it does not stay oily on the pets hair. This stuff is amazing! I can't recommend it enough for tangles, mats, etc!
Question:	How exactly does the "adjustable" blade work. Obviously by the switch, but what is the difference in the settings in terms of cut
Answer:	Hello Michelle, the Wahl adjustable blade sets do adjust to 3 different sizes of cut length by moving the lever on the side of the unit. When the lever is all the way down (toward the black base of the unit) your blade will be at the #10 =1.8mm cut length; when the lever is all the way up (toward the lid of the unit) your blade will be at the #30 =0.8mm cut length. The #15 =1.5mm cut length can be reached when your lever is in between #10 & #30; right in the middle. Depending on your length preference, any of the 3 size variances (#10, #15, & #30) can be used with the attachment combs for longer lengths.

Question:	Does anyone know what size the standard blade is that comes attached to this trimmer? I'm looking for a trimmer with an attached #10 blade
Answer:	I imagine you could hook them up to a preamp and make them active, but they are passive pickups. Can't comment on the sound yet as I just had them put in my MIM Fender P-Bass this weekend (at a local music store) and haven't had a chance to bring it home yet. I play flats on it and they were not cutting through the mix for me at church (plug into the boards through a preamp-styled direct box) and I was hoping the SPB-2s would give me a little more oomph and clarity than the stock MIMs (but not quite what the SPB-3 quarter pounders might produce).
Question:	would these clippers work for domestic cats
Answer:	I bought an older used SG 405 and replaced its (presumably stock) pickups with the SSB5S and I think I've gotten more volume and I like the tone better too.
Question:	Will it cut an 80 lb flat coat retriever
Answer:	No, they have a good mid-low tone. But not a deep low tone, but you can dial some good lows with the right amp, I am just judging by studio where I go through a direct box.
Question:	Does this unit heat up when it is on for a while? I like to use without guard on areas and don't want to burn my dog. Thanks

Question:	What is the difference between this model and the model 9766 - pro series cordless animal clippers on amazon
Answer:	The 9766 Pro Series has a Lithium Ion battery that will charge in less than half the time (60 minutes vs 3-5 hours). If you need more information, please contact Wahl at [email protected].
Question:	How can you tell if it's charging? There is no light
Answer:	The instruction book states it should take 3-5 hours for a complete charge. When clipper is not in use, it may be connected to the transformer and plugged into an outlet to assure maximum power is available when it is next used. Question:	Is the voltage international use
Answer:	Sorry, no. This product is designed for the US market, uses 110v to 120v and 60Hz. A 220 volt converter would be designed for 50Hz and would require different components inside the clipper to work efficiently.
Question:	How often does the blade need changing? I groomed the dogs (each twice) so used it four times and now it does not cut

If the blades are not oiled, it may be possible The blades will not move. However, even if not oiled, the Clipper will usually have enough power to run. If the “ voltage” in your home is low, then the clippers motor may make a loud noise. There is an adjustment screw on the side of the Clipper that will correct that issue (noted in the instructions).

Question:	Does it come with any blades? Which blades do I need to groom Yorkies
Answer:	Mine came with the T84 blade. Andis has different size blades that you can interchange. Not sure about Yorkies I use mine on horses.
Question:	Can I interchange this blade with #10 oster clipper blades that I already have
Answer:	Yes you can they fit on just like the oyster clippers
Question:	What is the best blade for an extremely thick and long undercoat? I have a rough collie and the blades that came with it don't work well at all
Answer:	It should work fine on that type of collie, I would try a 10 blade. And make sure they are washed/dried and brushed out before you clip them. The 10 blade will make it short though.
Question:	Could I use these to "shape" the body of a Bichon Frise ? Will they remove the top layer of the coat cleanly
Answer:	The blades are fairly wide. I use mine to body clip my horse, but i've also shaved my friends cat(a Maine Coon with hair mats), so I'd say yes, they're fantastic clippers, i've never had a problem with them, just keep them clean and oiled. If you're wanting to do detail work, they're fairly wide, but they cut clean and even. they run quietly too, and don't get overheated too fast.
