Answer:	it really depends on your experience, preference and how short you like to keep your puppy - for me my choice would be a 6.5 to an 8 inch curved scissor - I like the 6.5 for the top knot on some mini's and toys and on the feet but I prefer a longer scissor for down the legs and body - if you don't clipper the face you may also want to consider a 4.5 inch round tip straight or curve scissor for the eye area and perhaps a 6.5 inch 40 to 46 tooth thinning shear on the top of the snout - I purchased the safari 4.5 comb for working around the eyes on little faces - I'm a big fan of Roseline scissors for weight, balance and quality and I just purchased a set of Kenchi straights,curves and thinners with the swivel thumbs which I also love but they are slightly heavier ....
