Answer:	According to the manual it does allow for 11X17 printing and it is able to print 2 pages on 1 paper. There are 2 trays and a special tray/slot in back. I do not use this personally so I can't say if it works great.

The original tips have worn well and I haven't needed to even replace one yet.
