Answer:	I have not actually ever had a rat in my house. Mice and squirrels, and I believe to a great extent even insects, seem to be repelled by the smell of the mint. Since they don't like it, they leave. My aim has never been to kills anything, but to deter them from living in my space and encourage them to seek living quarters outdoors where they belong. It really does work, but if you are infested, it takes time I believe. You may have to resort to trapping or something to get a whole nest out. This product is more of a discourager and repellent, it does not harm or kill them.
Question:	How long is it effective before you need to respray
Answer:	I'm not sure. I spray a little every time I put a bag with any food leftovers in it in the can. I originally said I thought the bottle was expensive. However, I'm finding it's lasting pretty well. It sprays a fine mist, so you don't use a whole lot of product each time you spray. The main thing for me is that my garbage is still intact. I haven't seen hide nor hair of a squirrel anywhere near my garbage since I started using it. I've noticed there seems to be a lot fewer flies and ants too. So far, I love this product!

Answer:	If you'd like something a little hotter should search for Crushed Pepper from India; they're often"twice" as hot. Note: Pepper heat level is measure in Scoville Heat Units; often abbreviated SHU. Tobasco Sauce is rated about 2,500 SHU. Most Pizzeria type Red Pepper Flakes are approximately 20,000 SHU. You should be able to find "Very Hot" Pepper Flakes rated at 40,000 SHU. If you really want hot, Habaneros may be dried and ground into flakes. They taste a little different but are much hotter ranging from 100,000 to 350,000 SHU. There are even hotter peppers like ghost peppers which too can be dried and crushed. These peppers are literally 1,000,000 SHU. Much too hot for most people; but a few do enjoy such super heat.

Answer:	Someone posted using dryer sheets. I'm in the automotive repair business. We laugh when we see the mice have used the dryer sheets to build nests in cars. Question:	I would like to use 2 or 4 jet sprays. Would I be able to hook all four up to my garden hose
Answer:	I'm not sure what the people answering this are smoking, but one of the pictures shows clearly that these can be connected in series, unit to unit to unit with the only limitation being your water pressure. Since they're typically not all going off at the same time, I would expect with normal household water pressure you could use at least 5. Bear in mind that these are off most of the time, and a garden hose acts as a pressure vessel. expanding slightly under pressure, so even with the spigot turned only partway on, you will get a full blast for the couple of seconds needed. So, no manifold is required unless hooking them in series is not an efficient layout for your situation.
Question:	Does it just spray in one direction? Not sure how to protect garden in the middle of my yard
Answer:	It sprays in a circular motion and It has an adjustment lever where you can control the direction of the spray. I have mine set for spraying 180 degrees ( half circle)

Answer:	Yes. It repeatedly tore apart the trash and the lock to the shed it was in. Answer:	I use it for cats. I don't know why it wouldn't work. The are not comfortable to walk on. The spikes are not pointed. The tips are cut off.

Answer:	Purchased this item for cats, and it does not work! So disgusted! I plan to request my money back. This is made of very cheap material.

Answer:	They are hard enough that if someone fell into them it would be painful. The mats are a deterrent for cats as they are uncomfortable. Most others would find that to be the case as well.
Question:	Would this work to keep dogs out of my yard? My neighbors dog keeps jumping the fence
Answer:	If he's jumping a fence, he'll get a big surprise on landing. Depending on the size or stubbornness of the dog, it may take a few jumps in different spots over the fence before he gets to thinking that he'll get some owie paws to not do it anymore. In my opinion tho, it will work. My big dogs don't like it. The one dog won't go near it even if he see's a neighbor cat that's running outside. He used to go nuts at the window.
