Answer:	First, let me say I have found these clippers to stay sharp longer than others I have purchased. As far as scratching on the walls, it may just be a behavior or a habit they've developed. Answer:	Hello, Please pull out the plastic tab which is inserted into the battery case. Then push the switch in that is highlighted with a light bulb or squeeze the handles together. This will activate the light. If this fails check the batteries are inserted correctly. If you have checked all of these and the light does not switch on the light is faulty and you would need process a return/replacement. Thank you!

Answer:	These might work for smaller dogs but our recommendation would be to purchase clippers made specifically for dogs.

Answer:	I think it would work well for all domestic cats as your clipping just the sharp tip. The thickest thumb tip I clipped was probably around 2mm. If you cat is chill, the V shaped spring loaded lever style is also nice for cats to thicker nailed dogs. I like these JW's because you can keep them in position in hand as you moved on to next nail. The Spring loaded lever style requires hand repositioning which makes it more difficult with a squirrelly animal..... more specific to your question..if you can cut your cat's nails with a pair of human nail clippers, JW will be fine. Otherwise, consider lever style clips.
Question:	i've bought some this style that are so flimsy the finger holes overlap when when i close to clip. are these flimsy
Answer:	I have no complaints with the cat nail clippers I bought from JW Pet Company. They are tight enough to cause no problems when clipping. The only problem is that my cat does not desire to have the nails clipped, and requires restraint when doing so. The clippers are fine.
