Answer:	Average around 1.5in deep. The swirl pattern one though seems to be about 2in deep so I guess it depends on the design. I have found that the more sporadic the design the better. The swirl one is a little tight for my family's cats and they prefer the flower pattern.

Answer:	No, because there is a little slot that dogs/ cats can push the food out on onto ther floor located on the outer white edge. There is another one on the inner white edge that allows the food to be moved from the inert triangle to the outer one. It is great for dry food, treats, and wet food for dogs. I mostly stick with the dry food and treats. I personally would stick to a regular bowl for water. The way a dog's or cat's tongue works to pick up water it will be much easierfor them to use a regular bowl. However if you are looking to add some type of liquid like one of the bone broth toppers I would get a different design.

Answer:	Stainless steel and it has 3 stanchions that screw off. It is a waste as I used it and then realized when I wanted to wash it that I had to screw off the stanchions every time. Not dishwasher safe for sure. Buy a plastic one that has a better maze. This is not the one for me and I tossed it. Don’t waste your money.

Answer:	I have not tried this bowl with a short snouted dog. Sorry I couldn't help.

Answer:	It is some sort of heavy molded plastic. We have had no problems with peeling or breaking

Answer:	Our 6 year old chocolate lab gets 8-10 oz of food and it fils it to the top. If you shake it too much some spills out. Now with that said, our lab gets "full size" kibble made by Authority - if your dog gets small bites then you should be fine. Hope this helps.

Answer:	This would probably not work well for a small cat. I can’t give exact dimensions but a small cat is about the size of my dogs head and she eats pretty quickly with this bowl. If you’re feeding small quantities it may work if the food is spread out around the bowl but the slots are perfect cat head size.
