Answer:	My understanding is that it is through a titration process depending on the named strength. It would be best to contact the manufacturer for specific details. I did read one time that for one of the dilutions, it was titrated 1000 times. For me, it cured my poison oak. Also, before I would hike, I would take it to prevent poison oak.
