I rarely wash my kitty beds - I do shake them out, maybe vacuum them and air them out on the patio but only wash when I must (spills, throw-ups, etc.). Cats like their things to smell like them.

Question:	does it make crinkle sounds
Answer:	YES! It does make a crinkling sound that sounds like rice crispies. Not disturbing at all to me (pad is on couch right next to me) but cat seemed to be wary of it at first. I think most pets will get used to it.

Answer:	Well it is fabric so eventually it will rip if your doggo is digging a lot. My dogs dig and bite it and have made some tears but still holding up. Legit though this bed rocks it’s comfy, cozy, soft fabric, and perfect sized. I just pups highly recommend it. 100%. If you want something dog proof probably get like a carhart dog bed but it won’t be as cute and cozy. Even still I think this a good dog bed for any dog!!

Answer:	No, not really. It's barely noticeable. All 3 of my dogs and my 1 cat use them. I have 3! The crinkling noise it makes is very subtle and it's only if you scrunch it with your hands. Mine don't make noise when the pets get on them. They love them!

Answer:	Just received our 26" Snuggery orthopedic foam (sherpa and suede blue) dog bed today. The tube for the hood is removed through the opening on the bottom lower left of the hood where the tube ends and where there is a velcro flap. Open the flap, slide the tube out by feeding it down to the left from its channel sewn in the front edge of the hood. It goes back in through that same velcro covered port. Much easier than the hidden slit for the tube in our two Cozy Caves when we remove the tubes to wash the covers that we unzip from the cushion in side the base.
