Answer:	Hi Sheila - No...it is built like a tube top...open on top and bottom with elastic on top and bottom to 'fit' around the cage. I can tell you that ours is working fairly well (we have 4 active messy finches)...but this helps keep the mess down. A couple tips. 1) Try to keep the seed cups situated below the top line of the catcher (the seed flys while they eat) and 2) Take the cage outside (if possible) when you remove the seed catcher to clean it...otherwise the seed it has caught is likely to end up on the floor. Answer:	Not the best answer from a seller. For anyone still wondering about this, it doesn't cover the bottom of the cage, it does catch around the circumference enough so it stays put.

Answer:	unfortunately yes, it only prevents them from going on the floor but you have to be ready to catch them when you remove the net...once you pull the elastic away to separate/clean the cage the seeds will drop.. I usually move the cage to a large counter which I have to clean off after I have finished cleaning the cage. Or I suppose you could put some sort of tray underneath to catch the seed when you are removing the catcher for cleaning purposes.

Answer:	15-1/2 " is the minimum. A bit of a stretch for the little guys. I bought mine because of a Percheron- he's very heavy tho he stands well. For ponies & minis I generally get down on one knee and rest their foot low on my leg.Akward for me,more comfy for them. The thing is to avoid raising the hoof higher than the hock, that's uncomfortable for them.

Answer:	I have 3 goats and only used these twice and they dulled really fast. I tried to sharpen them and no success. I ended up buying another one from tractor supply. I use these for trimming my rose bushes now. I was not pleased.

Answer:	in 2021 this product includes the medium green base, two magnets with mounting hardware, tensioning knob, cradle on post, and the rubber cap on post. In 2021 the manufacturer started packaging it with some assembly required (you have to mount the two magnets and screw in the tensioning knob -- very very easy). The DVD is now NOT INCLUDED because there are plenty of videos online. there were also some cosmetic changes to the packaging.
