Answer:	They vary from about 3/4 of an inch to an inch. I have a galah cockatoo, which is about the size of an amazon, and they fit her perfectly.

Answer:	JED, I'm not able to answer definitely since I'm not knowledgeable on chinchillas, however, if they can be used for parrots & other pets I can't imagine they could or would do anything to a chinchilla. As long as the chinchilla has a cage with bars that you can use to attach the perch to I would think it would be great for your chinchilla. You might want to verify that grapevine wood isn't toxic to chinchillas. I know that a friend has some for their pet ferret and there haven't been any issues. Answer:	I think it's about 8" to 10"What I'm sure is that it was too short for my needs.I was expecting 15" to 20", as it said "large".

Answer:	Yes, both of mine are installed on the outside tops of my cages. If your cage is the smaller wire type you may need larger washers for the base to keep it upright and steady. I used some old loose wooden toy pieces with holes already in them for the base, and that works great! My smaller birds LOVE these.
