Answer:	It was long enough to run into the boat and up out of the bilge and is water proof. I had to add wire but wanted to run it of a switch from my dash. Was a very easy light to install!

Answer:	The cord that comes with the light needs to be hardwired into the 12 volt system. The cord does also have a plug within it to disconnect the light when removing it from the drain plug. The plug is about 3-4 inches from the light, which can be a little difficult to reach in boats where you can not reach the drain plug easily from inside the boat. This plug allows the light to be removed, as well as prevent the cord from being twisted while unscrewing the light from the drain plug. The wrench for the light is not included.

Answer:	WARNING !!!!!! THESE LIGHTS ARE NOT USCG APPROVED BE ADVISED, THESE ARE NOT COAST GUARD APPROVED NAVIGATION LIGHTS There are two reasons that they are not approved as highlighted in USCG Safety Alerts 13-18 in regards that they can be the cause of interference with critical communication devices such as VHF Radio's and AIS Navigation & USCG Safety Alert 10-15 Failure by manufacturers to meet technical certification requirements. Furthermore, technical advances in marine lighting, such as the use of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), rope lighting, underwater lighting, and other various types of decorative lighting, may violate navigation light provisions of the Nautical Rules of the Road.
Question:	How exactly do I power these up? Came with no instructions. I have a marine battery with cigarette lighter receptacles
Answer:	I am not sure, I think the wires are copper No. 12. The LED lights use 18 watts. I mounted my lights on the top of a 15 ft. mast on my boat and they work perfectly with the 25 ft. run of 12 Ga. wires
Question:	What is the width and thickness of the lights
Answer:	I have had these four inchers for one year. I use these in conjunction with my low beams. I had a 12 incher but got too many complaints so I installed these 4 inchers and the complaints were reduced drastically. Get the wiring harness separately for appx $8 here on Amazon. I drilled my bumper about 2.5 feet apart and focus them appx 15 to 20 degrees down. Still has plenty of light spread without to much bother to others'. I run 420 miles 5 days a week and 96% of eighteen wheelers use the same or something similar. So I would get used to it and grab a pair for yourself. After one year of constant use the lens are not as clear as they were when new but still emits awesome light. later...
Question:	Are these light us coast guard approved navigational lights
Answer:	You should be able to. The lights don't use a lot of power. I would look for a cigarette plug that has a heavier wire. Not the things one. You should be good.
