Answer:	Hi, yes there is a paddle like design that "vacuums" the debris from the water. It does not just drift it, there is force that sucks in the debris into the basket. It should be able to suck up gnats.
Question:	Stopped working after a few months, just shows solid red lights across back, any suggestions
Answer:	I Fixed the solid Red light issue. For me, the paddle motor in front of the basket seized. I unscrewed the white side panel on the side of the the motor that turns the paddle. I removed the motor, cleaned it with wd40 while spinning it with my hand. I then turned it on to see it spinning. Motor was rusty. This corrosion will clearly happen regularly. It probably happens to the props as well based on some of these postings. Now I know the maintenance routine. I called them the day before, about the solid red light. They didn't give me so much as a clue! There is no way they don't expect this to happen every few months. I had it for 3 months and based on these questions and comments, it's happening to a lot of people. Maybe fixing it is part of the side money they make?

Answer:	It should work. The skimmer has a T that connects to the Hayward device and so you slip the intake hose over the T. The Aquabug is similar to the Hayward Poolvac XL.

Answer:	I don't see how it would work, because it is meant to travel around the pool with the pool vac, thus cleaning the pool top area. If attached to skimmer it would stay in one place and I don't believe that would be much. The tube/hose it comes with is very short, after our pool vac went past our 6" mark it floated in one place, not very for us also the connection to the pool vac was loose and the instructions show you can buy another added attachment to secure it better, not the most cost effective pool top cleaner.

Answer:	It's not too ugly. As far as detaching and reattaching, if you don't have someone that can configure a coupling to make this happen, you will not have an easy time doing this. I stopped using this product. Way too many problems with it.
Question:	Will it break off if there are waves from people jumping in the pool
Answer:	We had some good waves in my pool and it seemed to be ok. I would answer NO to your question. My opinion: If your waves are that bad, you need to control the people in it and protect your investment.

Answer:	7 years on mine and it's been very valuable. In my case, an inground 17x35, there was no accounting for prevailing winds on our site and the built-in skimmer was placed at the upwind end, while the prevailing winds blow all the debris to the opposite end rendering the skimmer almost useless. Fortunately there's a return at the downwind end and that's where this Pool Skim goes, and works very well. Only wish it came with a bigger bag (our pool has Silver Maples at each end).

Answer:	A regular pool cleaner connects to the intake outlet in the skimmer. This connects to the outlet where the water comes out, the jet outlets. It comes with attachments but mine did not fit so I have not used it. They are supposed to be able to be used at the same time.

Answer:	I have a Bestway 18'x9'x48" Rectangular Frame Above Ground Pool and it works on mine. I just had to remove the screen filter that goes to the return fitting but it works perfect. Picks up leaves, berries,small sticks and sand that occasionally comes out Sand Filter. This is my 3rd unit I've had. The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump.

Answer:	I was going to write a review about this as I just purchased it, but Amazon wouldn't let me do it saying they were not allowing reviews on it at the moment? What the heck? Anyway, I would give it a solid 4, maybe 5 if it had been assembled properly when we got it. It works now after my husband realized what was wrong. After we got it going, it does an amazingly good job of cleaning, especially for the price. Here's a trouble shooting hint if yours doesn't move when you first try it. Hope it helps. My husband wrote the following: How to troubleshoot an Intex Auto Cleaner which will not reverseWe recently bought an Intex Auto Cleaner. When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". If it is outside of the upside down"U", your Auto Cleaner will never reverse and operate as intended.Hope this help

Answer:	The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water.

Answer:	Yes. It’ll work in either. “Salt Water” pools are chlorine pools. You add salt and stabilizer and the chlorinater turns it into chlorine. It’s just a lot less chlorine. My pool is this type.

Answer:	The water is pulled through the bottom as it vacuums. The debris and water is filtered though 4 sizable filters. The resulting filtered water is then expelled through the top of the device. This device is a bulldog and cleans dirt, dead algae and leaves from your pool in one round. If the whole bottom is covered in leaves, you need to do your best to get them up and finish off with the Dolphin. This device saves me from vacuuming by hand for half the day. Also, the dirt, dead algae and general crud doesn't go through your pool filter. It completely removes it all without the risk of it going right back in and it doesn't stir up the bottom and settle back down after you vacuum. Come back a few hours later and it's still clean.

How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Answer:	Yes. If it fits behind your ladder, it will absolutely get tangled. Has happened many times. I am thinking of attaching a cross-bar that runs from the ladder to the pool wall to stop the robot from going behind.

Answer:	My pool is 15 x 30 and it cleans it pretty well. It may miss a spot here and there but this product is so worth the money.

Answer:	Have purchased a couple over the years, but not all models come with one. Make sure the one you bought is designed to have one. If the bill of materials says you should have one, call them and get one. Take it back to the store and get one. Replacement parts I've boughten on amazon have worked well.
