11 best pool leaf covers
Pool dehumidifiers are specialized devices designed to regulate humidity levels in indoor swimming pool areas. These units are crucial for maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment within enclosed pool spaces. Here's what you need to know about pool dehumidifiers:
Purpose: Pool dehumidifiers are specifically designed to address the high humidity levels that are common in indoor swimming pool areas. Excessive moisture can lead to various issues, including condensation, mold growth, and deterioration of building materials.
Dehumidification Process: These devices work by drawing in the moist air from the pool area and passing it through a system that removes excess moisture. The processed air is then returned to the room with reduced humidity levels, creating a more comfortable and controlled indoor environment.
Sizing: The size and capacity of a pool dehumidifier are crucial considerations. The unit's capacity should be appropriately matched to the pool area's size and the expected moisture load to ensure effective dehumidification.
Installation: Pool dehumidifiers are typically installed in a dedicated mechanical room or adjacent space. They are connected to the pool area through ductwork, which allows them to extract moist air from the pool enclosure.
Types: There are different types of pool dehumidifiers, including refrigerant-based (condensation) and desiccant-based dehumidifiers. Refrigerant-based units are the most common and work by cooling the air to condense moisture, while desiccant units use a drying agent to absorb moisture.
Energy Efficiency: Energy-efficient pool dehumidifiers are essential to minimize operating costs. Look for units with high-efficiency ratings, as they can significantly reduce energy consumption.
Controls: Many pool dehumidifiers come with advanced controls and monitoring systems. These controls allow users to set desired humidity levels and operate the unit efficiently. Some models can also be integrated with building automation systems.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the proper functioning of pool dehumidifiers. This includes cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels (for refrigerant-based units), and servicing the unit as recommended by the manufacturer.
Benefits: Pool dehumidifiers offer several benefits, including improved air quality, prevention of structural damage from excess moisture, reduced energy costs (by preventing excessive heat loss through condensation), and enhanced comfort for swimmers and pool visitors.
Cost: The cost of a pool dehumidifier can vary widely depending on factors such as capacity, brand, features, and installation requirements. It is a significant investment but is essential for maintaining a safe and comfortable indoor pool environment.
In summary, pool dehumidifiers are vital components for indoor swimming pool facilities, helping to control humidity levels and maintain a comfortable and healthy indoor environment. Proper sizing, installation, and maintenance are essential to ensure the effective operation of these devices.

User questions & answers
Question: | On an 18 by 38 net, what is the inside dimension of the grommets |
Answer: | Yes!! That's what I do. I actually use two. The first one lays across the pool, touched the water. The second I get a size smaller and run a wire from end to end, my pool is forty foot long. I stretch it from front to back and side to side using stakes in the ground around the pool. While the leaves are falling many just blow across as the top net is not touching the water. After all the leaves have falling, usually end of nov I will then mulch up all the leaves in my yard, and then take the top cover off and scoop up and leaves that got under the top cover. I leave my pool open during the winter. I have done this for the last several years and it works great. No need to daily scooping leaves off the cover until they all fall. Works for me. And these covers are pretty good for the price. Small netting too. |
Question: | Does it now come with straps to hold water bags |
Answer: | Please read the questions at the bottom of the page, already answered. |
Question: | Are there grommets around the exterior of the cover |
Answer: | Not at the same time. You will need to unpair the device connected to allow another phone or tablet to pair. Contact AV-Express for more details. |
Question: | Can I use this net cover without a solid pool cover. I just need a leave catcher... We don't cover pool during the winter |
Answer: | There could be many solutions out there, we do not currently offer one. Just make sure the connection point (threaded rod) to the speaker is the proper length and thickness. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be put directly on pool or do you have to put on cover |
Answer: | It goes by the wall height from very bottom of wall to top edge. You need a 52" beaded liner. |
Question: | Is it ok to put on during the summer. In other words is there more of a chance that it will allow allergy to geow rather without |
Answer: | This liner should work in either position. The bead will just sit and fold over top of the outside part of the wall and your clips will secure the liner. |
Question: | Does this one fit a 24 foot round pool well and will it keep out acorns |
Answer: | The liner has a 25-year limited warranty against manufacturer material defects. |
Question: | What size should I get for a 27 foot eound pool |
Answer: | There are no holes for the skimmer or the jet. After you get water in the pool (1/2 way) you cut the holes yourself. It was a little scary, but ended up very easy. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is the materials |
Answer: | Can the cover stand up to high concentrations of chlorine? I installed the net over my winter cover as pictured. I don't add chemicals in the winter. But if I were going to do that, I would pull back both covers and pour directly into the pool. I wouldn't think the net would enjoy the experience. |
Question: | Can this mesh cover be used without a wenter cover under it? I do not cover my pool in the winter |
Answer: | Run the wire through the holes on each side of the outside of mechanism (one end of wire through one side and the other end of the wire through the other side) then run each end through the center holes of the center spindle and turn wing nut to tighten. Same way as you do for the pool cover. |
Question: | How many grommets |
Answer: | it wont pull that tight on my 26 ft round pool but it may work on the smaller pool .the cover attaches with a cable |
Question: | how do I add chemicals? Can the cover sand up to hi concentratoins of Chlorine |
Answer: | Yes. The grommets are metal. The mesh is very fine. Very nice net. It comes with the same tie down that most winter covers use. We don't use that. I went to home Depot and bought a spool of 1/4 inch bungy cord and turned it into a giant hair net. Makes it easy to take on and off. We used it all summer. This winter I will put it on using the cable until spring. |

User questions & answers
Question: | This cover is for winter too or its just the mesh cover |

Question: | Can you use this without a cover |
Answer: | Mine came fairly quickly. Might check to see if it is on backorder. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I put this on by myself |
Answer: | I would use this on top of a cover for winter. It keeps leaves and debris, but does not keep dirt out. |
Question: | how does it drain does whole cover drains i order one it only had a hole in the middle |
Answer: | Probably better off in summer because it won't be that heavy and clumsy when you remove it.I had mine on through winter months and it was kinda hard to remove without leaves falling in because of the accumulated weight. That's a problem you won't have because you'll be removing it often. |
Question: | How well will this cover a 16' diameter pool |
Answer: | My pool was 20 by 40 and it had plenty of overlap all the way around. My pool is irregular shaped and it is awesome. |
Question: | Can i use this as my winter pool cover or do i need to buy one and put this on top of it |
Answer: | Yes. You have to weight down the edges but it basically floats. It will sink a bit when loaded with leaves but not too much. It's easy to drag it back and dump the leaves once or twice in the fall. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I just need to cover a pool at night to increase the pool temperature 5 F. Would this work |
Answer: | This won't increase the water temperature. It will stop some evaporation and slow the water cooling. If you want to preserve the water temperature you would do better to look at thermal blankets for pools. They're basically heavy duty bubble wrap and not that expensive. I've used them and had good luck. Try to get a clear one so the sun can get through it to warm the water when it's left on during the day. |
Question: | what size do i need to cover an 16x32 ft in ground pool |
Answer: | 21' X 36' in needed to cover a 16' X 32' pool |
Question: | Mesh pool cover |
Answer: | Not mesh. It's a tarp that sits on the water to block sunlight. A security mesh cover goes over this. Need to pump rain water off the tarp occasionally. Works great. Water always clear when open pool. |
Question: | Plan to send this pool cover to Africa to keep pool clean. Will use it all year round and want to know if it will hold under intense sun in Africa |
Answer: | You may want the Africa version. Thank you for your interest. FamilyPoolFun 320-695-2899 |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this catch acorns |
Answer: | We have two long, black small diameter PVC poles running under the net to lift it up a couple of feet, like low tent. The ends of the pole/pipe easily can be buried at the edge of the pond or lodged against rocks for stability. |
Question: | Can two nets be attached end to end withoit tearing |
Answer: | It can be put on by one person but much easier with two. I put it on myself by fastening two points on the trailing side/end, then pulling one side across at a tine until it covered the pool cover. Then I ran the edge wire around and tightened it down. |
Question: | Protects from blue heron and cats, what about raccoons? is it strong enough |
Answer: | This is a net cover, its full of holes. If your asking how your cover drains, you need to put a pillow (blown up) in the center, this creates a rise so the water runs to the outside where you can pump it or siphon it out after rains. |
Question: | How do you use this on pond that has plants like Lily’s, iris, cat tail, Thalia? I need something to protect my koi but have plants in my pond |
Answer: | I’m using it on a 12 foot round and have a foot overhang. I don’t think it will cover a 16 foot pool |

User questions & answers
Question: | We don’t cover the pool in the winter.. can you just stretch it across the pool |
Answer: | I don’t know the exact weight but I would guess about 5 pounds. |
Question: | does it come with grommets |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can this cover catch acorns and be removed daily to swim? How heavy and awkward is it |
Answer: | the net is very sturdy, just not sure how you would attach them to each other |
Question: | what is the weight of a 20 x 40 size net |
Answer: | Do you mean strong enough to hold their weight, or strong enough not to bite through? It's a very good, strong net. I don't have issues with other animals, my goal is to keep the leaves and anything out that the strong spring winds bring. If you keep it tight across the water and high enough I am sure it would do what you need it to. |
