Question:	If the rats are stil alive, they can still produce bab rats. If we want to eliminate them, how is this product effective
Answer:	I have not actually ever had a rat in my house. Mice and squirrels, and I believe to a great extent even insects, seem to be repelled by the smell of the mint. Since they don't like it, they leave. My aim has never been to kills anything, but to deter them from living in my space and encourage them to seek living quarters outdoors where they belong. It really does work, but if you are infested, it takes time I believe. You may have to resort to trapping or something to get a whole nest out. This product is more of a discourager and repellent, it does not harm or kill them.
Question:	How long is it effective before you need to respray
Answer:	I'm not sure. I spray a little every time I put a bag with any food leftovers in it in the can. I originally said I thought the bottle was expensive. However, I'm finding it's lasting pretty well. It sprays a fine mist, so you don't use a whole lot of product each time you spray. The main thing for me is that my garbage is still intact. I haven't seen hide nor hair of a squirrel anywhere near my garbage since I started using it. I've noticed there seems to be a lot fewer flies and ants too. So far, I love this product!

Answer:	I bought this for a brief problem I had with ants which worked great on. The bottle does state it does repel: cockroaches, mice, and raccoons. It's the peppermint in it they don't like. I have also used pure peppermint oil on cotton balls in plastic baggies with holes poked in them. That also works well.

Answer:	I have read several blogs that list peppermint oil as the way to repel bees from oriole or hummingbird feeders. I am looking for a peppermint oil that won't break down outside in the sun. I have rubbed peppermint on my oriole feeder as suggested, but the bees are still there and chasing the orioles away. Can anyone suggest such a product?
Question:	Can you use on furniture
Answer:	I use it on RV furniture (fake leather and comforter). You could do a test patch in a place that isn't visible to ensure there's no discoloring since it is an oil and could cause spotting. I remove "leather" sofa bed cushions and spray the base, backside of sudo leather cushions (fabric) and the outside edge of the mattress. If concerned you could put some in a smaller spray bottle and dilute a bit to test also. The smell can be strong, but dissipates after airing out. Rather have the peppermint smell then mice (continuing) to chew the brand new sofa bed and sneaking around the RV.
Question:	I have a little fellow. If I spray this in my house now, will he go away or should I set a trap and then spray it to prevent more from coming
Answer:	I tried spraying all over the counters and it kept them away for a while. u have to do it like once a week. Get a no kill multi mouse trap with see through top catch and release 2 blocks from ur home . mild minty odor but srtonger ones more effective. Need to find hole and patch it with metal.

Answer:	Bathing with tomato juice is typically what people do to neutralize skunk odor. Concentrated essential oils on a pet can be dangerous.

Answer:	I have to apply the Harris Rodent Repellent Spray to the tires and grill of my 2016 Toyota every night. In their infinite stupidity, Toyota used soy based insulation wiring in its 2010-2016 cars. Everyone with half a brain knows that soy beans are organic and a popular food source. Soy is a featured ingredient in many products sold in grocery stores. My grandfather used soy as a protein additive for his cattle feed. And he raised prize-winning Angus beef cattle. So soy is an excellent, nutrient rich food source. Maddingly but not surprisingly, rodents feel the same way about the plant and its many byproducts. So what does Toyota do? Wrap critical wiring in insulation laced with tempting soy throughout the engine. Until I discovered Harris Rodent Repellent, I had invested nearly $1,500 in engine wiring repairs--simply because mice considered my car their own all-you-can eat buffet. Of course, Toyota absolved themselves of any liability for the manufacturing fiasco, citing "external forces" as the cause of the problem. No, the "forces" were internal and entirely predictable--that would be the tasty wiring that was enticing rodents to repeatedly dine on my car. I can only hope that no one is put in harm's way on today's highways because of an engine failure directly attributable to soy based wiring insulation and its appeal to rats. Owing to financial considerations, I had to delay purchasing a new order of Harris repellent this past the spring. As a result, hungry mice saw an opportunity and helped themselves--for the fourth time--to my wiring. That was a $556 mistake I will not make again. All this is to say that Harris Rodent Repellent works great for me as long as I apply it to the car each evening before going to bed. I make sure to spray it on the grill and on the tires, which mice use as a route to other, more edible parts of the vehicle. As for how this affects mother mice, I really don't know, except that the She Devils aren't getting any nutrients from my Corolla food to help sustain their nursing broods. I would also add that the Harris Repellent person with whom I've dealt over the past three or so years has been very helpful and kind when communicating with him. That's worth a great deal, to be sure.

Answer:	Product says peppermint oil, rosemary oil, garlic oil, white pepper, water and vinegar. The odor is minty and quite strong, but not unpleasant. I sprayed around the car and not in the engine compartment yet, so I don't know how strong it would be In the car if I did spray in the engine compartment.

Answer:	I have to park my car in an area that is accessible to mice. This product is amazing. No problem since I started using it...and I've ordered another bottle. No, there is no smell. I spray it underneath the hood on everything. I am not disappointed.
Question:	How much vinegar is in this product? Is the vinegar an emulsifier for the water and essential oils
Answer:	Not sure of exact amount. It says 99.40% water & vinegar on the back, so not sure of the breakdown with water. It did work though. Rats were eating insulation in both my cars during harsh winter. Sprayed this all over that and wiring just in case.

Answer:	After spraying under the hood, we let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Smell is minimal then, and I am very sensitive to odors. This is not a problem, and you really don't smell it in the car. It does work. We spray once a month as we live in a rural area and have lots of mice/rats, etc.

Question:	Can this be sprayed on the starter of a rider mower
Answer:	It's essentially a water-based product with minimal residue from the herbal ingredients. It's doubtful it would harm the mower's components. Just allow the starter and whatever else you spray it on to dry before starting the engine. You may notice a sprightly minty essence for a bit as the engine heats up, but that's probably going to be the only unusual effect you'll find.

Answer:	Here are the ingredients: .055% Peppermint oil; .0225% Rosemary oil; .0225% Garlic oil; .50% white pepper; 99.40% water and vinegar. I also sprinkle Cayenne pepper under the hood. Works for me and doesn’t smell bad at all.

Answer:	No idea. I used it inside the wheel wells & inside the engine compartment, as it is directed. You'll have to check out their website for the answer on staining. But, what I can say..is if you are looking to keep mice out of vehicles during the winter..use this product, as I did...& then mouse traps with cheese or peanut butter & put Bounce dryer sheets..EVERYWHERE INSIDE YOUR RV. Heck, look for holes under your RV..& put Bounce in those holes, too. Good Luck. 😁

Answer:	The bottle states store in a cool and dry place. Since it’s a water based product it might freeze. Not sure what it will do to the product. You should check with manufacturer.

One or two sprays where they’re active should control them on a weekly basis.

Answer:	The directions says not to apply to painted surfaces. It only damages the wood by possibly making a stain on the paint.
