11 best roach insecticide

Roach insecticide is a type of chemical substance specifically designed to eliminate or repel cockroaches, which are common household pests. These insecticides are commonly used in the field of pest control to manage infestations and prevent cockroaches from entering homes or businesses. Here's some information about roach insecticides:

  1. Types of Roach Insecticides:

    • There are various forms of roach insecticides available, including sprays, baits, powders, gels, and foggers. Each type has its own application method and effectiveness in targeting cockroach populations.
  2. Active Ingredients:

    • Roach insecticides contain active ingredients that are toxic to cockroaches. Common active ingredients include pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, boric acid, and hydramethylnon. These chemicals work by disrupting the nervous system or digestive system of the cockroaches.
  3. Application:

    • Roach insecticides are typically applied in areas where cockroaches are likely to hide or travel, such as cracks and crevices, behind appliances, and along baseboards. Baits are strategically placed to attract roaches, while sprays are used to directly target infestations.
  4. Safety Precautions:

    • When using roach insecticides, it's important to follow safety guidelines provided on the product label. This often includes wearing protective gear, keeping the area well-ventilated, and keeping pets and children away from treated areas.
  5. Effectiveness:

    • The effectiveness of roach insecticides can vary depending on the product and the severity of the infestation. Some insecticides provide immediate results, while others may take time to work as cockroaches come into contact with the treated areas.
  6. Preventative Measures:

    • In addition to using roach insecticides, it's important to take preventative measures to minimize cockroach infestations. This includes keeping a clean and tidy living space, sealing cracks and gaps, and properly storing food to eliminate potential food sources.
  7. Professional Pest Control:

    • In cases of severe infestations or persistent roach problems, it may be necessary to seek the services of a professional pest control company. These experts can assess the situation and use a combination of methods, including roach insecticides, to effectively manage the issue.

Roach insecticides are an important tool in pest control, helping to combat cockroach infestations and maintain a pest-free environment. However, it's essential to use them safely and responsibly while also implementing good hygiene practices to prevent future infestations.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it come in larger size
Answer: This product only comes in 1 size
Question: Will it kill web worms
Answer: Are you talking about sod webworms? If so, yes, but it takes a few treatments. I tried this after using the generic stuff from Lowes, which did nothing. I had some that almost decimated my entire back yard and this did the trick. The treatment recommended to me was 3 treatments over 2 weeks to break the egg cycle.
Question: Does it kill bed buds
Answer: No, Demon Max is not labeled for bed bugs.
Question: Anybody used this with wasp or hornets? Results
Answer: Yes, this kills ants, spiders, anything that crawls and is considered a bug. Unfortunately, it also claimed the dragon flies and butterflies that flew into my garage. I spray my garage door and floor and anything that touches it dies. I re-apply every 2-3 months. When the little critters cross that line into my garage, they start slowing down, curling up and die. I simply sweep them out when dead. I also have a bee & hornet problem, I live in the woods, so critters are a problem. I spray my wood shed with this, both inside and out, it has kept them all out. I also spray the places that I see hornets start to build nests. They never come back. I live in the south, so bugs are everywhere. This does a great job at keeping them away.

User questions & answers

Question: does this get rid of bed bugs
Answer: You do not need a professional as long as you use what the so-called professionals uses. Bed bugs are listed on the product label as one of the bugs this product will kill. See this link. I hope you do not have bed bugs still but if you do this should work in combination with other treatments. See here: http://www.pestproducts.com/bed-bug-conrol-information.htm
Question: Does this have permethrin in it? And is it good to use for carpets for my pets chewing lice
Answer: Onslaught contains esfenvalerate, which is in the same class (pyrethroid) as permethrin, but is not identical. Onslaught does have a full broadcast label for indoors and can be applied to carpet. Onslaught is labeled for lice. However, be sure to consult a vet, lice are primarily treated with pet medications that kill lice when they feed. Lice cannot live off the host very long so a broadcast treatment is normally not needed. Let me know if I can be of more help. JoeEntomologistePestHero
Question: What is the application process??? do you mix & sprayit? do you spread it? do you feed it? key information, onslaught
Answer: Yes. All of the above. You can spray it at the rate of 1/2 or 1 ounce per gallon. You can feed it (to yellow jackets) with canned cat food or canned chicken at the rate of 1/4 tsp per small can, mixed well. Or for termite kill, you can dig a ditch around your house and pour it in (I don't know the concentration).
Question: Does anyone know what is in this onslaught micro-encapsulated insecticide concentrate
Answer: Yes, it is a pyrethroid insecticide called esfenvalerate. It is "microcapped", which means the active ingredient is encapsulated in microscopic plastic spheres that break open over time. This makes it a great slow release product. Let me know if I can be more help. JoeEntomologistePestHero.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this kill fire ants? Our yard is infested
Answer: Not sure about this, but I know down here in Louisiana, Termiticide/Termidor works great. I spray 3 acres about every 2 or 3 years and NO fire ants. Don't treat individual hills, treat your entire yard. It's the best $50/$60 bucks you'll spend and save you $ in the long run.
Question: I live in an apartment building with roaches coming from other apartments...Will this work and is it easy to use
Answer: I live on 3+ acres, 2500+ square feet home and it works very well if you spray it like you're supposed to, at least once a month on all window sills and doorways inside and outside. An exterminator recommended this and I have used it for over 10 years.
Question: does this help with Frogs
Answer: I've never heard of a Frog invasion. It will however kill some of their food source as in insects or repel them. That might help move a frog population out of your area if by using this or other insecticides it removes the food the frog eats in general. We have tree frogs...adorable as they are and as much as I love tree frogs they have become annoying enough that I no longer worry about taking their food source away. (Example YOU MUST lift every cushion and pillow on outdoor furniture EVERY TIME you want to sit down because the little frogs hide in them. Also our cat's won't eat the frogs we think but they love to go after them and we've had numerous episodes of trying to catch the frog or cat from mixing together. So yes Frogs can be pests or at least the little tiny tree frog thats the only species in the NW Rockies to West Coast area. Having said that...WE like these frogs and know they do their share of insect control. So we just don't encourage them and this product may or may not harm these tiny little reptiles. However we had an infestation of harvest ants that actually caused major damage to our third floor roof and attic area in the insulation. (An EPA Sealed ROOF in 2012. So last thing we want is this insulation being messed with or the sealing broken down which the ants actually did.) So we have to take measures to prevent future ants from returning by spraying the outside walls of the house where they were actively traveling from ground to third story eves and entering somehow up there. We are fogging the attic two to three times a year now too. I'd say this is not for Frogs and as directives state it is against the law to use the product for other than listed...insects yes...Frogs no! But that does not mean there can't be circumstances to Frogs despite following the proper rules of use. In otherwords...back to kill frogs food source and Frog's probably will move away.
Question: I bought this product and I'm confused even after reading the directions. There are two separated liquids. Why
Answer: Not sure what you mean. There is a separated area on the container that traps a portion of the liquid for measuring the amount but mine only had one chemical in it

User questions & answers

Question: What’s the difference between the select and magnum
Answer: I never had much luck with Combat product. This product seems to do quite well, and is the same stuff a paid exterminator company, I hired at one time, was using.
Question: I ordered this item and it did not include the precision tip applicator. How can I get one
Answer: A Big NO! Advion works like a charm, and this product does absolutely NOTHING! If possible I saw more roa hes within 2 weeks of applying this product. Later, ordered Advion and the roaches were all gone in 3 days.
Question: Will this work with all roaches or only germans
Answer: I received the plunger with my order but I did not use it. I purchased seperately from another company a "gun" like applicator that adjusts the size of the spot application, giving much more economical results. Also read the application instructions as it doesn't take much to do the job. An average kitchen will take less than 1 tube. Results will show up in 24 - 48 hours depending on the Roach population, it will not be instant like a can of Raid. Do not use the same bait for more than 3 months, rotate with Advion, Invicta, and MaxForce, so they can't build up an immunity.
Question: Can I use this on and around my stovetop safely? Is it flamable if I use it on and around my stove
Answer: The primary effective ingredient in standard Vendetta and Vendetta Plus are the same. The Plus version, though, includes the addition of Nygard IGR, a growth regulator that when ingested and shared among insects will help impair the development of future generations of roaches as they will not reach full maturity and will therefore not mate efficiently. This is a common technique with professionals mixing sprays, in which a strong, immediate "knockdown" pesticide may be mixed with another pesticide that has a strong "residual" effect for weeks or months, add in a "booster" (such as ExciteR or Kicker, with Piperonyl Butoxide) to enhance the efficacy of the pesticides, along with an IGR (Nygard, Precor, Gentrol, etc) to regulate insect growth & development. Baiting is still the most efficient method for Roaches and Ants, and is a cornerstone of the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) ideal currently in vogue. IPM's goal is that specific pests are "targeted" rather than a nuclear winter, shotgun approach, with attendant run-off, cross-contamination, potential human or animal exposure, and other environmental concerns that, frankly, most homeowners or tenants could care less about. Most homeowners or tenants just want the problem solved, and are often the cause of escalating failure rates due to overuse, misuse, and haphazard use of pesticides (such as not following label instructions, not preparing the area(s) properly for treatment through pre-cleaning or mitigating clutter, or not following up appropriately or in the correct time frame with the correct products). This contributes to increased insect resistance. As far as Roaches go, though, this product is among the best currently. Try to avoid placing it where pets might get at it (or use bait trays to avoid this), or small children crawling around on the floor may find it. It is advisable to also consider a routine of switching out gel baits with different formulations, such as Advion or MaxForce, etc. Also, be aware that Vendetta is primarily intended for use on German Roaches.Disclaimer: I am not currently a pest control "pro". I work in the trades at a school district and frequently consult with the pest control shop guys, as I used to manage several large multi-unit properties (40-50 units ea) and did nearly all of my own maintenance, including pest control. Besides regular contact with pros and pro suppliers, I have read about a half-dozen books on the subject, and regularly help friends & family with these issues. There are also literally hundreds of hours of video and reams of information at "do it yourself / myself" style websites (whose names mimic what I quoted, but if I write them in here, it'll get blocked, so good luck if you decide to pursue expanding your knowledge in this area).

User questions & answers

Question: Do the baits have adhesive backs to stick on walls? Our kind of roaches are seen a lot on walls

Question: This does not work for us at all. we purchased advion syngenta cockroach tubes version, it works wonders. did we do something wrong
Answer: Medium is fairly universal. I have all 3 sizes. If you have moles stay close to the surface I used small successfully. If huge mounds and potential mature mole I have adjusted to large.

Vendetta Roach Gel Bait Insecticide - 4 tubes x 30gms MGK1003

Vendetta

Based on 2 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Vendetta Cockroach Gel Bait is a high-performance gel bait containing abamectin B1. Vendetta works on tough, hard-to-kill roach populations. Attracts both bait-averse and non-averse cockroaches. Vendetta Roach Bait is easy to handle and apply and dispenses smoothly and easily from the gel tube. Comes with a plunger for applying the bait. The tubes also fit standard bait guns such as the Masterline Professional Bait Gun. Shelf life is 3 years or more if stored at room temperature.

User questions & answers

Question: How is this compared to combat max gel
Answer: It is still good for 1 year after applying. If it's not eaten by then you can remove it. But it lasts a year once applied. Inside the tube it lasts 5 years if stored correctly. But no it does not disappear unless its eaten.
Question: does it work as well as Advion or better
Answer: Cockroaches are cockroaches! I don’t know the difference between Turkestan cockroaches any other but this product works! Be patient! Follow the directions and they will die! This might sound nasty but don’t clean up the dead ones. They eat each other and the poison kills the live ones. 30 days and you won’t see any. You’ll know it’s working because they won’t run away when they see you. They become disoriented and die.
Question: I have never used this before so do you HAVE to use a plunger to get the product our of the tubes? One review said their order did not include the advertised plunger so the product was useless until they could order a plunger. Please advise
Answer: Yes. When you take the cap off, they have included in a small sealed bag, mine had two of them needle like applicators, I figured cause two tubes come with it. And it has one plunger. You screw the needle like ends on simply and then squirt away. :-) A helpful tip is, when moving from one spot to another, pull back on the plunger or it'll keep letting it come out and drip cause the pressure., just pull back and it won't make a mess. :-)
Question: What is the difference between this and Vendetta Plus
Answer: At first we noticed a few dead ones, it took a few days (guessing it's from ones lingering around). Then after about a month, we had realized we hadn't seen any lives one in a while. So far this year, I live in South Louisiana so the tree roached that show up are pretty active and large, plus we have had a lot of rain and we have hardly seen any maybe 4 or 5. I am about to re-applicate just to make sure we don't start seeing an influx of them coming out.

BASF - 59014457 Cy-Kick CS Pest Control Insecticide 16 oz Pint

BASF

Based on 825 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Cy-kick CS liquid concentrate insecticide provides 90 days of full-throttle killing power, controlling insects indoors and outdoors. With a broad spectrum label including spiders, ants, mosquitoes, bees, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, bed bugs, silverfish, ticks, wasps, wood infesting borers and more, you don’t have to pick and choose between different insecticides for different pests. Cy-Kick CS works great against every insect you’re up against, so one product and one application is all you need. Simply mix 1 to 3 oz Cy-kick CS per gallon of water and apply using a small commercial sprayer or foamer. Spray liberally indoors along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, and wall voids. Cy-Kick is also used as an outdoor perimeter or lawn treatment. The density of Cy-Kick CS is similar to water, resulting in an even, consistent mixture that requires little agitation to remain in full suspension. When sprayed, Cy-Kick CS creates a thick barrier of microcapsules that is impossible for insects to cross without being exposed to a lethal dose of insecticide. Exposed insects pick up microcapsules on their hairs and body triggering a rapid release of the active ingredient, resulting in death. Cy-kick’s active ingredient Cyfluthrin is a pyrethrin, which means it is user-safe, environment friendly, and less likely to cause skin irritation than other active ingredients. Cy-kick CS is virtually odorless, and will not create a visible residue or stain when used according to the recommended label rate. 16 oz. Always Read The Label Before Use!!

  • Active Ingredient: Cyfluthrin 6.0%
  • Target pests: All types of household and commercial pests including ants, bed bugs, roaches, spiders, earwigs, crickets, centipedes, beetles, and more.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this solution supposed to be diluted with water? Can you please tell me what the ratio is
Answer: It comes together like that. You just pop your phone in. The only thing you have to put on is the screen protector. The phone sits recessed enough in the case though so I didn't even use the protector. Plus it didn't cover the whole screen any way. Other than that... I really dig the case! Especially for the price!
Question: It's been 24 hours and the trail of ants is as strong as ever. How long
Answer: No. I only have for Iphone 6
Question: What type of applicator do I need to use to apply this to a small apartment? Can a spray bottle work
Answer: I can’t answer that I have a iPhone 6s
Question: does this kill brown recluse spiders

User questions & answers

Question: Will this kill.all my earthworms in my lawn
Answer: This phone case easily allows your IPhone to pop in and out. I just tested with my own case in black:-). No problem!!!! This case far surpasses all of the other cases I have used in the past. You will not be disappointed!!!
Question: Is this one gallon version a concentrate
Answer: Hello Sounhi. The case very securely holds the iPhone 6 Plus. It has a close fitting hard shell, covered in leather. The phone literally "snaps" into that shell. Several drops of my iPhone 6 have resulted in no damage to my phone - or the case. Count me as a real fan of the case - I got more than expected for my money.
Question: Would this be effective for use against cicada killer wasps and their subterranean nests (to control hatching next year
Answer: I also use this phone as my only camera. The case doesn't affect picture quality at all and there are no difficulties in taking pictures with the case on.
Question: How many pints in a gallon
Answer: No, but cover most the screen, if you using a case for you phone It will live just (around 1cm) space between the screen and the case, except the top part where the camera is

User questions & answers

Question: will this kill cinch bugs
Answer: (S) Methoprene
Question: can I use two ounces per gallon to kill German cockroaches
Answer: It is a water-base concentrate. Depends on your expectations and extent of application / saturation. We have low-cost laminate flooring and manufacturer's advice is don't let water stand. The wife wet mops it all the time. No problems. Even if you have an infestation you wouldn't soak your floor with this. Be sure to read precautions for pets, children, or pregnant women. Check out Diatomaceous Earth for outdoors and out of the way places. Very safe for people and pets.
Question: Is it oderless
Answer: All I can say to this question is what I researched, it is safe after drying. We didn't notice any problems, discoloration in furniture, etc. However, nothing we have bought or tried worked as well as promised. We got fleas in our house from a friend's dog. We bombed twice, used precor everywhere twice, and used home guard EVERYWHERE several times, cleaned carpets, vacuumed numerous extra times, tried the natural remedies guaranteed to work. None of them worked as promised. Now after many continuous treatments, it is possible, the fleas are gone, but we're still not sure.
Question: Is this supposed to be mixed with i.g. regulator? what's the difference between the two products
Answer: It can be used in a normal fogger, but heating it may not be advisable. Here's the MSDS https://www.zoecon.com/-/media/files/zoecon-na/us/product%20labels/sds/precor%20igr%20concentrate%20sds.pdf
