Question:	Does this work on groundhogs
Answer:	If you go inside the back of the unit there are controls back there. Look at the dial knob which lists all kinds of animals you can set the unit for. The first one that reads " Rodents/Bats" would be the one to use for birds. I am not having a bird problem but a squirrel problem and this yard shield does a nice job of keeping the squirrels away during the Summer months. Good luck with your problem.
Question:	Can you work in the garden without setting it off? Does a sprinkler system set it off
Answer:	batteries... it takes two C-cell batts. (I suppose battery life depends on useage.. instructions say leaving on for 24/7 is approx 60 days. (extreme temps probably effect battery life, like anything else. I have only had it for 2 weeks, so that is all i know so far) Your mileage may vary. ~DJS

Answer:	I don't think so. We have a dog that spends alot of time with us on our wooden deck. Our rodent repellent is located at the end of our deck. Of course this is outside rather than in a garage but we have never noticed any impact on our dog. She pays no attention to it and doesn't seem to be bothered by it. The great thing is we no longer have rabbits etc trying to live under our deck.

Answer:	This product is safe for bees (and other pollinators) - and will not keep them away from treated plants. You do want to avoid spraying the bees directly with the repellent, as the natural oils will make it difficult for them to fly. Bees are most active during the day, so we recommend spraying in the early morning or late evening to avoid direct contact.

Answer:	I have used it to deter deer from eating everything in my yard, it does not work. Liquid Fence is the best deer repellent, but it does smell bad.

Answer:	I have a sensitive sense of smell and I do not find it at all offensive. I would describe the smell as slightly sweet and spicy. The deer never bothered my roses again after using it. They ate my neighbor’s roses instead. I don’t have hostas in my front yard near my roses and they have never bothered the hostas in my backyard.

Answer:	Our backyard was a trail for the deer. We moved about a year ago. Our hostas were a nice snack as they passed through. The spray saved our plants but the trail the deer would take, about 10-20 feet away, was still their preferred trail. I believe it is only a deterant for eating because it's a very spicy mixture that would taste bad but that's my assumption.

Answer:	That's what I bought it for, and I stood about 5 feet away from them where they couldn't see me. I could tell they were setting it off because of the flashing light, and I could hear it clicking. It didn't even phase them. I tried all the frequencies. Don't waste your money. You'll have better success running at them and saying BOO!

Answer:	So far it's working. Two stray dogs were near when I put it outside and they were noticeably affected by it. Haven seen any stray cats around here in two weeks.

This is an extremely fantastic product. If you don't see a difference after a week Amazon will glady accept the return of any product you have left, but I doubt this will not happen.

Answer:	According to the label you need to order bait stations separately. I ordered the product a ND didn't know this. I justo decided to use some glass kitchen containers that I didn't need. I set up 5 stations around the perimeter of the house next to the foundation. I checked them every day to keep them baited.We had hundreds of rats and mice inside our home. Within 2 days we had no more activity in the house. I used the hole pail and to this day we have no mice or rats.I treated in October of 2014. Please use this product and use any containers. I doubt I will ever need it again. It is simply the best. Just make sure you don't let the containers are kept baited.I would use 2 packets per container.Oh it got rid of our opossum problem too.Its fantastic

Answer:	I have used this on my Koi pond for many years now with great success. So I don't get sprayed during the day.... my water supply has a battery timer.... The timer is set for 10PM tp 8 AM..... so simple..... works great and I can set the time for it to work.
Question:	There seems to be an additional part in my package that is about 2" long and 1" high that is not part of assembly instructions. Any clue as to what this is
Answer:	The extra item drove me nuts for about 30 minutes. Until i figured out that it is simply a screw on replacement part so the "helmet head sensor" can be mounted by sliding the square part on the "valve square front. This lowers the "Helmet sensor" to be about eye level with like a rabbit or cat. Simply unscrew the all black small round knob that is on the "helmet sensor" remove the screw and remove the piece you just detached (the 4 inch bracket that has a round hole that would normally fit the vertical pipe shaft. Now replace that 4 inch part with the smaller 2 inch long part that has a square end and a round end. Push the screw thru the round end and into your "helmet sensor" (it only fits one way), then hook it/slide it onto the sensors square front. The "helmet sensor" now just sits there, not exactly a secured in a long term way but i guess it works.
Question:	What happens if a human steps on the lawn? Will that turn on and spray on a person? I don't want it ends up spraying on myself
Answer:	Yes, if you trigger the motion detection, and you are in the area of spray, you will get sprayed, just like a deer or rabbit would. If you need to be there and don't want to get sprayed, you will need to turn it off temporarily.

Question:	I would like to use 2 or 4 jet sprays. Would I be able to hook all four up to my garden hose
Answer:	I'm not sure what the people answering this are smoking, but one of the pictures shows clearly that these can be connected in series, unit to unit to unit with the only limitation being your water pressure. Since they're typically not all going off at the same time, I would expect with normal household water pressure you could use at least 5. Bear in mind that these are off most of the time, and a garden hose acts as a pressure vessel. expanding slightly under pressure, so even with the spigot turned only partway on, you will get a full blast for the couple of seconds needed. So, no manifold is required unless hooking them in series is not an efficient layout for your situation.
Question:	Does it just spray in one direction? Not sure how to protect garden in the middle of my yard
Answer:	It sprays in a circular motion and It has an adjustment lever where you can control the direction of the spray. I have mine set for spraying 180 degrees ( half circle)

Answer:	Try 1. check batteries make sure they seated properly. or 2. Put new batteries then test again. Answer:	The height from the top of the electronic device unit to bottom of the pole that holds it in the ground is 22.5”. Assuming 4” goes in the ground, 18.5” would be the est. height.
Question:	Has anyone had these work to keep wild or feral hogs away? they are a huge problem for us
Answer:	Without knowing just what & where it is leaking from, I can only assume it was put together without seals or gaskets in the correct places. My suggestion would be to carefully disassemble the unit-paying attention to where you remember it leaking from. I can tell you that it should only be hand-tightened-but only just! If you have to tighten it too much, something else is wrong. Stop & regroup! If you inadvertently cracked the pipe and/or housing, well, maybe you can use plumber's Goop to fix it, but that is why my old unit failed. It finally cracked after many summers outside. It cannot withstand freezing-if that happened, it's done for. I do not leave it on all day, and also use a flow meter shutoff, just in case it breaks or leaks while I am sleeping, so my yard isn't flooded! In use, it doesn't use much water at all even when triggered quite a few times. I am convinced the deer in my yard dance in front of it-but if they leave my vegetable alone, who cares?!
