Answer:	Depends on how many handguns you want to secure. If you’re wanting to save space and only have one handgun to secure then I would recommend a smaller one. All are secure pretty much equally. This particular model have either a six digit code entry or a key entry and you can change the code when it suits you. Comes with a key lock cable to secure it to the wall or floor which I highly recommend. Beware a lot of other types and styles DO NOT have this cable. Mine was $99 dollars a bargain for one that holds three full size firearms. Hope this helps

Answer:	It confused me at first as well, you need to double up on two of the four buttons to get a six digit code.

Answer:	Thank you all for your replies but if it were as easy as lifting the shelf up and to move it out, I wouldn't have asked. It turns out, from my perspective, that the shelf was not intended to be removed. I was able to accomplish it by turning the safe over and then tilting it sideways. This procedure was not included in the instructions. But thanks again.

Answer:	Yes it comes with mounting hardware. If mounted vertically the box should be positioned so that the door opens left to right or right to left. It says if mounted vertically and the spring loaded door has to open upward it won’t stay open. I will note that I have not vertically mounted mine, but when I do I will mount it so that the spring loaded door opens right to left.

Answer:	If they say it is, they're lying. In fact, the seal around that gas spring on the left hand side will more than likely fail and spray oil all over whatever is in the container in a fire. Most of them only hold up to a few hundred degrees at best and a house fire is 800-1200F.

Answer:	YES. I have a Walther P99 40S&W with a Viridian X5L light and laser. The pistol did fit without modifying the safe foam but it was too tight for my liking. So I used my wife's super sharp carving knife (when she wasn't looking) and cut about an inch deeper into the foam, removing 1"x1"x the depth of the foam. It now fits well and pistol comes out much smoother.

Answer:	Not 100% sure. I think there might be a foam slot for spare magazine. I returned it. You have to swipe your finger across the reader and it wouldn't read my print consistently. I have several GVB 1000s and 2000s... plenty of room for multiple spare magazines in each and instead of swiping finger you just place your finger on reader. They've worked great so far.

Answer:	It didn't work for my boyfriend or me. One reviewer was told by the company that 5% of the population are not compatible. How can 2 people in the same house fit that 5%. I don't think so. I believe its a problem with the system and that is their excuse to get around so they don't have to be accountable. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Go with the push button one. We paid extra for a feature that doesn't work. Other wise it's great. I read a lot of the reviews and saw only a few complaints like this but there wasn't a lot compare to positive. If you get this, test it ASAP and if it doesn't work return it ASAP. Or just go with the push button.
