The older style is considered obsolete, and not produced any more. |

I reassembled the unit and now it works fine. |

The autofeed doesn't work well on my trimmer but it didn't work with the Black & Decker spools either so I have been very willing to rewind the spool from the ACE Hardware line -- and extend it as needed by taking the cap off at intervals when weedeating-- at the much cheaper price. |
