Answer:	Also, the 1.5 amp weighs about half the other, so it is balanced. The 3.0 would make it top heavy.

Good to know replacements are so inexpensive on eBay 🙃 I guess if you’ve never used a mower before you might wonder where the grass goes. I’ve never used a bag, never dethatched, my zoysia is more than 35 years old and very healthy. I consider the grass clippings a gift from God. As far as where does the cut grass go, it stays pretty much right there. This is a very small mower if you use it that way. If the green stuff is very tall, we just had more than 10 days of rain, then I cut little narrow swathes. It is a weed eater with a deck. I had breast cancer 4 years ago. The treatment almost did me in. Up until then I did my own yard work. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars hiring idiots to scalp my zoysia and then take out my roses, Japanese maples, fig trees, lilies and plants large enough to see with weeders. I bought this little guy for me to use as it’s small enough for me use to mow my uneven lawn and it’s hard to scalp s rise budh if the weeder stays in the deck. I love this little guy.

Answer:	The battery is a 40v, LBXR2036 serial CGG1436819012 The charger is LCS436 Type 1 A number embossed on charger plug is 2014 07 UE. As I said the battery worked well upon arrival but I have no way to test the charger.

Answer:	You can use bulk string from any store, but you have to self wind it on the old Black and Decker spool. It must be same diameter string however. I Ind it strong enough for normal use.

Answer:	Yes, 100' of 12 gauge cord has no noticeable amp drop. As long as the outlet you are using is delivering a full 15 amps, running a 12 amp mower will be fine. Watch out though, you might trip the breaker if you have anything else plugged in on that particular circuit. Especially if it is a 15 amp breaker.

Answer:	They are still advertising as made in USA in the picture, but when I received my cord, it was made in China. $35 for a Chinese cord? Are you kidding me?! Bet they are made for $2 or $3 a piece. What a scam! They need to be turned in to the FTC for false advertisement.

Answer:	If you're asking about the amperage capacity of the 12/3 100' cord, then that answer is 15 amps. Without going into an electrical dissertation, the amperage capacity will be based on intended usage, power (amperage) requirements of the tool being used, continuous or intermittent amperage rating, and most importantly, the rating of your outlet whether residential or commercial. "Most" residential outlets are rated at 15 amps, even if on a 20 amp branch, since there are multiple outlets being fed. Anyway, this cord is good for 15 amps. If you're connecting two, then it's time to look at a dedicated circuit versus extension cords.

Answer:	Make sure it's a full charge and it will last approximately 30 minutes. I have a B&D drill that came with 2 batteries, so I took one for the trimmer. 1 battery is not quite enough to trim the perimeter and obstacles on my 0.56 acre property. 2 batteries are more than enough. 1 comes up about 10 minutes short for the entire yard, but is great for front or back only. So buy the drill package that comes with 2 batteries and you will have 3 for various things. Or just buy another battery.

Answer:	I have worked on electric motors a number of times, contact Black and Decker to obtain brushes. If they will not or do not respond contact an electric motor repair shop in your community they can help you. Question:	I have a small patch of lawn, about 2 feet by 10 feet. Can I use this to cut it? It is pretty dense crab grass and weeds
Answer:	I would think it should unless its just a jungle. Go at it in small patches. It has easily done everything I have asked it to do. I am quite satisfied.
Question:	Can I use my other black and decker 20V batteries? (type 3, 30Wh) without damaging the motor
Answer:	Yes, our 20V batteries and chargers are interchangeable within our 20V product line.
Question:	This trimmer has the choice of batteries but the 3.0Ah is actually less $$, which I would think is the longer lasting one
Answer:	That is accurate. Higher Amp hours the more capacity of the battery. With the 3 Ah you get one battery. With the 1.5 Ah you get two batteries. Should equal out to the same amount of run time. Only difference is the 3.0 Ah battery is physically larger and heavier than the 1.5. So if you have a bad shoulder or older you might opt for the two 1.5 batteries and just swap them when the first goes dead. If you're not having issues with the weight, go with the 3ah single battery.
Question:	anyone have experience with the 3.0 vs the 1.5Ah batteries? does the 3.0 literally last twice as long? trying to figure out best deal
Answer:	Yes, theoretically a battery with double the amp/hour capacity CAN last twice as long with a whole bucketload of IFS! IF the ‘Speed’ adjustment is EXACTLY the same; IF the thickness of the weeds/grass is exactly the same; IF the ‘duty cycle (on time vs off time) is exactly the same, etc, etc. From a practical standpoint suffice to say that battery life between charges WILL be noticeably longer BUT, when using the same charger, recharge time MAY also be noticeably longer. Im sure that, by now, you’ve noticed all the “IFS and “MAYS” in my short reply. This only goes to illustrate the very large number of variables involved in reliably estimating battery time between charges.
