Answer:	Measure around three sides of your stove. Divide that number by 3.3" which is the width of each plate of a windscreen to determine the total number of windscreen plates you need. Add about 4 to that number to allow some space between the stove and the screen. Now you know the number of plates you need, your can buy enough of windscreens and the size. The come with 10 plates or 12 plates, etc.

Answer:	No, not at all. the spark cover does a good job of eliminating large sparks, or pieces of paper and such, from leaving the Chimenea. It burns like a jet motor and the heat is far too intense for anything to be above it. Tree limps that are fairly high up bounce around due to the heat coming up. As you can see, it's shaped like an engine because it is an engine. It pumps in air from the sides and shoots fire out of the top. I would not consider it for inside, even if it's just a roof.

Answer:	It is steel and we are on the gulf but showing very little rust ,I am going to give it another coat of high temp rustoleum paint . We love it , nice feature ash tray .

Answer:	In theory, yes. Keep in mind that you are surrounding the wood burning chiminea with a fuel source, ie your deck. The legs provide enough elevation that the bottom area doesnt get too hot. If you go this route, I would suggest 4 12inch square pavers from Home Depot to use as a 24in x 24in base. They are concrete and under $2 each. That will provide added safety. Plus, make sure not to leave it unattended because embers do spark through the screen.

Answer:	No, it doesn't calm down. It is what it is. We ordered it because my wife is allergic to wood smoke, and this is virtually smokeless. The flame is maintained fairly high, and there are no "coals" to roast hot dogs, marshmallows, etc., so this probably would not be the best choice for you and your family. As far as dangerous, only if you get too close.

Answer:	This is an Top Lit Up Draft wood gassifier burner. Please google that term, as well as "Dr. TLUD" which will get you the original small scale woodngassifier burner inventor's page and a TON of relevant 8nformation. It will ABSOLUTELY burn twigs, small diameter firewood, small chunks of larger logs. You will probably do best to use about 50:50 by volume of such small pieces of natural wood mixed with a pelletized wood fuel, the design is optimized for the ammount of air which will easily convect through the small pellets. BTW, the proprietary pellet fuel suggested by the maker costs 4 times as much as perfectly adequate wood pellet fuel sold for pellet furnaces, or their identical and equivalent pelletized softwood sawdust products sold as horse stall bedding or cat litter box media. If it's a 100% wood byproduct compressed soft wood sawdust/chip pellet, it will work! Expensive hardwood pellets should be reserved for smoking meat or similar culinary uses, softwood pellets have about 10% more heat energy per weight and burn GREAT in a properly designed TLUD burner- For WAY less cost. They smell piney fresh before you light them too...
