Answer:	You do not need to use the adapter. But it does allow the shut off to screw on to it and give you clearance to keep your shut off valve away from the bottom of the bowl. For myself, I welded my mounting tab to it, so I had a comnection point to my bowl. I set the height I wanted the ring to sit. Then I tack welded my mount to the extension. Removed it all, and completed my welding and drilled my hole to bolt it into the bowl

Answer:	It might make it a little bigger, but adjusting the regulator, if possible, would be your best bet. Some have a threaded cap that covers the adjustment screw.

INSTALLATTON

NATURAL GAS OR LIQUID PROPANE

1.Make sure gas is shut off

2.Connect the gas hose with gas connector to gas supply

3.Connect the other end of the hose to the Straight Quarter-Turn Shut-Off Valve

4.Attach the other side of the Straight Quarter-Turn Shut-Off Valve to the second gas hose

5.Connect the other end of the second gas hose to the burner

6. If using liquid propane, you need an LP Air Mixer to connect to the burner.(Air mixer is ONLY for LP)

Answer:	You should use a high pressure adjustable regulator (0 to 20psi). Low pressure regulators are for gas grills and only supplies enough gas for the small flames of a grill.

Answer:	It is 1/2" NPT. 1/2" NPT has an outside thread measurement of 27/32" - if you're trying to fit to an existing hose you should google how to measure NPT thread size as this standard is not the actual measured size of the pipe.
