Answer:	It says in the instruction sheet not to place in direct sun. It also is extremely heavy. I put mine in the garage and ordered something different for my back deck which is in direct sunlight. It also directs you to calibrate it first. Not a good purchase in my opinion. On the plus side, it is attractive, just not very practical.

Answer:	Terrible. The clock was good for about 2 weeks. Replace batteries a few times and it would last about a day. It looks like the rubber seal does not stay in place so I suspect that is the issue. Aside from the seal, the frame itself still looks nice and the thermometer seems to be working. So disappointed because the size and style are exactly what we were looking for to hang on our deck by the hot tub.

Question:	How does this thermometer attach to the wall or other surface? Is it stable in windy weather? Thank you
Answer:	I purchased this thermometer in 2016 and last year it fell and broke due to strong winds. I glued it back togetther and repainted damaged numbers. I also attached a wire by first putting in screws in the raised parts.(if you look at the picture you will see 4 raised pads with holes in the center) I also glued foam board to the back to reinforce it. It is delicate if the wind catches it so I would keep it in a sheltered place.

Question:	Can anyone please post the 'reset' directions, mine did not come with them, and the pointer had fallen off when it arrived, so can't tell if its right
Answer:	I've never heard of this happening. However I would think with an icecube and needle nose pliers you would be able to get it pretty close. Just hold the ice cube on the bi-metallic coil on the back of the thermometer for a few minutes, probably laying the thermometer on the ice cube on a plate would be the easiest. Then hold the pin with the pliers and replace the pointer by hand pointing it at 0°. This should get it pretty close. Alternatively just keep it close to another thermometer for while and reset the pointer so they match. Good luck!
