That being said before purchasing mine I asked about having to use the remote to turn it on and off because I'am mounting it in a tool box in the bed of my pickup and turning it off and on from inside the cab using a 500 amp solenoid so I will not be using the remote at all. I did turn mine on before mounting it and the digital readout on the front of the inverter was showing 119-120 volts I checked it with my fluke true rms meter and it was real close to the readout on the inverter. Question: I'm using 2 12v 100ah deep cycle agm sla vrla batteries. will this unit shut off when they reach full charge so they do not over charge & over heat
Answer: If the panels are 48V open circuit, then put them in series, not parallel. In series they'll work fine. The thing to really focus on is the MPPT range, that is to say, what operating voltages does the devices MPPT process like to operate. The voltage floor of mine is about 47V. A 48V (open circuit) is going to have a max power V of prob 40V and that's not enough to run this device. Put your panels in series and now you'll have max power at around 80V and the device will like that. In another issue, be really really sure that this 2000W device is the one you want. It was not designed for N America, it was designed for Europe. So unless you have 3 phase 240V power at your house or business, get the 1000W unit instead. I really tried to make this work, but in the end is was a kludge, so I installed 2x 1000W units that are a much better fit for conventional N. American wired homes.

Answer: This controller is designed to work with a battery powered system. The PWS pool pump has an MPPT controller that works differently from the one used here to charge a battery. It is designed to turn that solar energy into immediate use power to run your pump. This unit will not work straight of the box with the system you have. In order to get this to work you would need a battery bank, and a DC-DC converter with enough voltage and amperage capacity. Doing that you could run the pump day and night because the battery takes over when the solar input is out.
Question: Can this charge controller be used with pws 72v 1.6hp solar powered swimming pool
Answer: No, you would need to go with the new 100|20 model (will charge 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V). If you cannot find the newer model 100|20 than look for the older 100|20 48V (only) model.
