If the RV has been properly maintained then it will easily remove black streaks. However, if...1. The RV has not been properly maintained2. There were black streaks already present but were waxed overthe black streak remover will still work but it will take several applications and plenty of "elbow grease" to get them off.

It also helps prevent unwanted odors from lingering in the tanks after you have emptied them. The Flexible Swivel Stik is best used in RVs that have the holding tank mounted at an offset or away from the toilet. It easily attaches to any standard garden hose and has a flow-through body. The powerful rotary cleaning action sprays water onto the sides of the holding tank, helping to dislodge waste that remained after emptying the tank. The quarter-turn pressure-sealed shut off valve allows you to selectively control water flow, or completely turn it off when you’re done. It features an easy grip handle, and all moving parts are made of brass so they won’t corrode over time.

How it Works

The Flexible Swivel Stik is best used in RVs that have the holding tank mounted at an offset or away from the toilet. Make sure that this is the case with your RV before purchasing. If your holding tank is directly under the toilet, purchase the straight Swivel Stik instead. Always wear gloves when using the swivel stik, and use a hose that is marked Not For Drinking Use. First, empty your holding tanks completely. Leave the tank drain valve open and the sewer hose attached to both the RV and the dump station. Next, attach your garden hose to the yellow female end of the Swivel Stik by twisting the male end of the hose into the female end of the valve on the Swivel Stik. Turn on the water at the source, making sure the shut-off valve is in the off position. Water pressure must be less than 100-psi. If greater, use a pressure regulator like Camco 40052/40055. Open the sliding valve on your RV toilet and hold it open. Insert the brass end of the Swivel Stik down through the toilet bowl and into the holding tank. Make sure that the sliding valve does not abruptly close onto the Swivel Stik, as this could damage both the Swivel Stik and the sliding valve. Turn the shut-off valve to the on position, and while continuing to hold the Swivel Stik, allow the powerful rotary action to blast the inside of your holding tank with water. Move the Swivel Stick around the opening to reach all the side walls of the holding tank. When you feel that the holding tank is thoroughly cleansed, switch the shut-off valve to the off position, remove the Swivel Stik from the holding tank and take it outside. Shut off the water at the source, unscrew the Swivel Stik from the hose, thoroughly clean it with bleach and store it for later use.

Note: You do not need to use the Swivel Stik every time the holding tank is dumped, typically you use at the end of your trip or when the RV will not be used for a given period of time. Also, you should always use immediately following a dump while everything is still damp and moist, if the tank has been allowed to dry out, fill the tank with water and allow the water to sit for several hours to loosen/soften left over residue, then dump the tank and immediately rinse.

How it Works

I use two bottles per 40 gallons and wait until the tank is 3/4 full or more before dumping... this method has worked for me pretty well... make sure you use plenty of water always as that is key to maintaining the tank....

Answer:	Thetford says that the chemicals can damage the blade valve. Don't add it to the fresh/flush water. So just add it to the sewage holding tank. FYI the "fresh water" of a cassette toilet has no contact with the fresh water tank that one cooks, showers, and drinks from. It is just a holding tank for the water used to flush the potty.

At the bottom of the handle, screw the handle on to the garden hose via the threaded standard garden hose connection. Once the hose is on, use the orange on/off button to control the flow of water. Place the wash brush head on the top of the handle by aligning the square peg with the hole, and secure the wash brush by twisting the threaded connector onto the wash head. Adjust the telescoping handle to the length needed by pressing the button found at the top of the handle when the handle is fully compressed. Hold down the button and extend the handle to one of its four locked positions and release button to secure the handle in that position. Once the garden hose and wash head are attached and the handle extended, you are ready to begin washing.
