Question:	How wide is the raking surface
Answer:	I don't know what you mean by fixed handle. I have sharpened all my peuning tools with this. Also my knives and scissors. I never tried my pruning saw blades tho. It is a great tool and sharpens things quick. I have given it to 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 son-in-law and they all love this little tools. Just follow the directions. Hope this helps. If I lost mine, I'd buy another in a heart beat.
Question:	does this come with long handel
Answer:	Actually it's smaller than that - the actual sharpening edge is about 3/4(s) of an inch long. The entire device is (x) 5" long and a little over 1/2" wide. The black cap is about 1&1/4" long. The "super profit" on this must be enormous.
Question:	Is it a heavy duty tool? How much does it weigh
Answer:	It works fantastic on ferrocerium rods and saves the edge on your knife blade from dulling in the process
Question:	How wide is the flat surface
Answer:	This tool works better for putting a fine edge on smaller tools like pruners. For Lawn more blades, hatchet and ax heads that take more of a beating, I use the Nicholson Rectangular Mill Hand File Without Handle, Single Cut, American Pattern, Bastard Cut, 10" Length. This tool is more aggressive in removing metal to resharpen your tool. Remember for heavy duty use, you don't necessarily want a fine edge that make become thin and require more maintenance especially when your biting into dirt which is abrasive.
