Answer:	When you don't need this clip, push the plastic mop holder from the down to up in order not to make it broken. Then follow below steps to tear off the adhesive surface, 1. Do not directly pull the adhesive surface to remove. 2. Gently tear off the adhesive surface edge from the wall slowly. 3. Long time not in use, please use a protective film to paste the surface so that it can be used next time. 4. Do not stick to wallpaper wall or painted or plaster or cement surface. So that you can't remove the holder from these surface.

Question:	What is the width of the mounting bracket? From the picture it appears too wide for the screws on both sides to both catch the joist in the ceiling
Answer:	It should release by pulling the rope back towards the bike. Mine releases when the rope is straight down. Maybe you have something jammed in a pulley? Make sure the rope is threaded properly through the locking mechanism.
Question:	With it work with angled (cathedral) ceiling
Answer:	If the deck is high enough to stand under like a regular ceiling in a garage, then there is room. As for the rusting question, if it says it is stainless steel it will do okay. I am not a good one to answer this rust thing because I live a block from the ocean and rust is king here. However, if it is indoor, like in a garage, it is less likely to rust. If you are putting it under a deck, I assume that is outside but if you are inland, then life is a bowl of cherries!
Question:	Is it possible to hang bikes from the top tube instead of the wheels or seat/handlebar? I wonder if twisting the hooks 45degrees would cause issues
Answer:	The length of the rope is not the critical measure because it goes back and forth around several pulleys. It is long enough for a 14' ceiling.

Question:	How do you thread the rope
Answer:	Look at the instructions and lay out the end unit (opposite of the end where the rope will be hanging from). Thread the first single roller on the floor, then the first unit with the pickup then second u it with the pick up arms and then the last single roller. When you see how it works on the floor, slide the end unit in the channel, lock it in place with the set Allen screw. Then slide the arm unit with the hooks facing the front arm unit. Lock in place with the set Allen screw near the end single roller. Then slide the other arm unit with arms facing the other arms in the channel. Put the last single roller at the beginning of the channel and set the Allen screw lock. This single roller will have the self lock on the rope to hold the rope in place when you lift the object up. When you lay it out on the floor you will understand how it works and it will help you install the units in order into the channel. The two units with the arms can then be adjust, once in the channel, to place them directly above where the arms will pick up your bicycle or whatever you are lifting. Hope this helps. Once installed I think you will like the fact that a single person can lift the bicycle up over head and also get it down without help. Really keeps the floor space in the garage available and no bicycles in the way for me.
Question:	have suitability of screws & rollers been upgraded for Rad rail mount hoist
Answer:	I have installed both the older version of the hoist, and the new rail version. I did not have the problem with the screws or rollers of the older version that some reviewers mentioned (perhaps they had even older models). With that being said, the new rail mount hoist is superior to the older model. I had no problem installing. Rollers, ropes and hooks are a bit heavier duty. The rail is better because you don't have to install 2x4's.
Question:	how long is the rail
Answer:	Since the item spec says it is 30" long, I must wonder how the other indicated dimensions were derived?
Question:	How much do I need to add to the height of the bicycle to calculate for clearance under the bicycle after its suspended
Answer:	The pulley system will get the bike handlebars approximately 10" from the ceiling. So the distance to the top of the handle bars where the J Hook picks up the handlebars and adding the 10" will give you the total distance the bike will hang from the ceiling. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It will not work on an angled ceiling. If you find a way to cut a celing block with the appropriate angle to set the bottom at a 90* angle. Hope that makes sense.

Answer:	That is what i did with mine. I found the seat back did not hold so well. You should also be able rotate the hooks without much issue. I have one rotated 90 degrees.

Question:	can i attach to 2x4 first
Answer:	The pulley wheels are plastic, but the rest of the unit is metal.
Question:	I have a folding bike (Strida). Would it work with the shape with the bike
Answer:	I bought this set for my 10" kayaks. They each weigh 48 pounds plus the stuff I put inside. I guess the total is about 60 pounds each. They lift OK but not evenly. I lift a little, then push down on one end to even it out, lift a little more, etc.. until they are hoisted all the way up. They come down pretty good. Once hoisted they hold the weight fine. We had to make a couple straps for the kayaks though. Hoists made for kayaks generally come with them.
Question:	Is there any reason I couldn't install this indoors? I don't have a garage, but I do have a room to hang my Terry bike in
Answer:	I think a 12 year old could be big enough but the younger one may not. Depends on how big they are. It does take little effort for me but I'm 6' 1", 220 lbs. I would imagine that someone weighing 100 lbs. might have more trouble.

Answer:	I've never seen a 100 lbs bike but I can tell you the unit won't fail, but the screws you use better better be longer than provided and deep in a stud!
Question:	What size screws need to be used to secure the racks to the ceiling
Answer:	Maybe... If you install the brackets carefully and hit the ceiling crossmember and are able to secure the bracket without digging or pressing too deeply in the ceiling material. You may be able to use the bracket without damaging the ceiling and get away with filling the holes with spackle. Be warry if you have a popcorn ceiling or a heavy texture. More than likely popcorn or heavy texture will ghost and show the outline of the bracket. Also, consider slipping the apartment's mainieence guys a few bucks and they will usually install the brackets for you. (We do it all the time for our tenants)
Question:	Is there a way to buy just the rope? Ours was accidentally cut and I need a new rope
Answer:	The rope is a 1/4" diameter, black nylon cord, which is plenty strong enough to hold much more weight than your bike.

Question:	can it be used for adult three wheel bikes
Answer:	As long as the bike isn’t heavier than a fat dog. Seriously though, it says it’s rated for 100#’s so I’m guessing if the 3 wheel bicycle, adult or child’s, bike doesn’t weigh more than that I would venture to say that it would. I would imagine you could use it to suspend a person from somewhere if you wanted. Not in a morbid way but like just for fun with that persons consent. Like if you wanted them to drop dry AND they are less than________#’s (giving you the opportunity to redeem yourself there) and you have their consent than why the hell not. They may need to wear a harness or something or like drives some eye bolts or like hooks in order to hook the hooks that hook on the bicycle lift than....
Question:	Will the unit hold a 46 lbs long wheel recumbent bicycle
Answer:	I believe that it will work for a recumbent bike. You can customize the placemental of the lift elements to fit your bike. The weight is not really an issue.
Question:	Looking to use to hoist a Jeep 4-door hard top (130lbs.) with two of these systems, one on each side of the top. Thoughts
Answer:	The system maybe too wobbly and difficult to coordinate lifting both sides simultaneously. The 'hooks' may not hold the hard top very well either. I would encourage a different approach. Frankly this is a simply pulley system and the hardware store may have a better overall solution. Good Luck!

Answer:	Hi,I attached mine to about a 5'-6' 2x4 first. I spread the 2 sets of pulleys about 18"-22" apart (although you could adjust it differently). I then straddled the set up between my 2x6 rafters. I have easily lifted about 50 lbs. They advertise (I think) a 100lb max. Good luck!Mike

Answer:	I should think it would work with the bike not folded. The distance between the handlebars and the seat is the key and you can mount the two pulley assemblies to accommodate the size of the bike.
Question:	How long is the rope that comes with this
Answer:	Hi, I would not have any problem with that install them in a room. As long as the proper precautions are taken: the bike no longer rests on your bed, for example. Ideally locate in an area free of the room. Also be careful that putting the screws, they are firmly anchored in the ceiling (so you can support the weight of the bike).I use mine in the garage and parked my car almost under the bike, and I have not had any problems.I hope I could help.

Question:	How do you release the autolock to lower? I'm able to by physically opening the lock, but this is impractical since I'd need a ladder
Answer:	I use my lift for bicycles. First, I don’t raise the hoist load to the very top. I allow 2-3” between the pulley wheel and the lock mechanism. While tensioning the rope, I move it forward from the lock mechanism until the rope unlocks. Maintaining a small amount of tension, I allow the rope to slip and lower the bicycle. .

Question:	Doesn't this lift up the close end first
Answer:	It can lift them both equally, and typically does if the weight is fairly evenly distributed. However, you can intentionally make it lift one end sooner than the other. I have a 13+ foot long tandem kayak that I hoist with this. The rear end of the kayak has to go over the top of a cabinet, so i hold down the front while hoisting, which raises the rear first. When it clear the cabinet I assist the front a bit and it levels out. It's easy, and that kayak is 70 pounds. It would be simple with just a bike on it.
Question:	So which is it, 45lb or 100lb capacity? I need to hoist a 100lb kayak, will this work safely or no? What is the weak point, other than the rope
Answer:	I hoisted a 75 pound, 13.5' kayak. That is about the limit. I bolted 2x10s across two trusses. The rope is a bit small but it would be tough to install larger rope. I suppose if you drilled out the hole on the brake you could do it. Even so, I would then worry about the hooks eventually giving out. To prevent this, I screwed four I-bolts into the 2x10s and put racket straps across under the kayak. So, I use the hoist to lift it, and it does fine at that, but then I relieve the stress off of it with the straps and I-bolts. I was just worried the hooks might straighten out and the kayak could fall but now there are no worries.

Question:	Is it possible to get a replacement rope? My lift is older. The rope is wearing, and the lift is getting stuck when I try to lower my bike
Answer:	We have three of these lifts for our various tandem bikes, which are quite a bit heavier than a typical single bike. We were unsure whether the supplied lightweight rope would be up to the task, so we replaced it from the outset with 8mm climbing rope from an outdoor-gear store. After several years of regular use, the climbing rope shows no signs of wear or stretching.

Answer:	Yes, as long as it is mounted into the studs, it will hold the bike horizontally at the ceiling. This unit has to be mounted into the studs.
Question:	is the pull up & pull down movement smooth & even? or kinda jerky as you let out the rope (or pull it up). thanks
Answer:	The pull up is smooth. However on the pull down you actually have to pull the bike or whatever you are keeping on the mount down while at the same time giving the cord some slack making a vertical line so the lock won't activate. So it si not jerky but not so smooth.
Question:	We have these bike lifts and are taking them to a different house. Can anyone tell us how far apart do you mount the 2 brackets
Answer:	Hello. If you measure the distance between your handle bars and the back of the saddle or seat, that will be the distance to the center of each bracket as you want to be able to lower your bike straight down.

Question:	Are the pulley wheels plastic or metal? It looks similar to a Harbor Freight bike hoist that I have. I am looking for something more heavy duty
Answer:	Hey G.Harder the pulley wheel's are plastic. But this model is rated for heavy object's. I have used mine to hold up my wheelbarrow to open up floor space and have not had any problem's. The only change I made was with the way the rope was secured in the block, instructions say to tie a knot at the end of the rope but I was not satisfied with that so I bought a couple cable clamp's at hardware for $.99 cent's and clamped the rope around one of the mounting bolt's and feel safe working under it now. I'm very happy and satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking.

Answer:	? This one is better than the Atwood one. I bought both. Although I prefer the rope that comes with the Atwood one, the Rad is heavier duty and better built in general.
Question:	How long are the straps? Would they go around a Yakima Skybox
Answer:	Each strap is 7 feet long, and the nylon line is very long. I didn't install it yet but it looks very similar to the bike rack that they sell and it is very strong and well made.
Question:	How tight to the ceiling can you get a kayak
Answer:	About 18" max. If you only use the hooksThe kit comes with straps that attach to the hook. With straps at least 24 inches to ceiling I have 8 foot garage ceiling. By attaching to straps -one end to loop other end to loop holding buckle I can get 6 feet between floor & bottom of kayak If you can't attach kayak to hooks only. You need to play with with harness straps to get max height.
